If you're watching this video
then you probably couldn't set up you HD PVR
I'll be showing you how to set it up
and also the settings you'll need to get the most of it
Firstly, unbox the HD PVR and find the installation disc
Install the Driver and the Software, Total Media Extreme
Plug in your Xbox as normal
but make sure that nothing is connected but the mains cable
As you may have noticed the HD PVR does not support HDMI
So you'll need to find your Component cables
to connect between the Xbox and the Hauppauge HD PVR
Within the HD PVR box you should find a Component to Component white cable
that runs from the HD PVR to your TV
Now plug in the included USB cable
between your Hauppauge and your USB port on a laptop or PC
Make sure you've got the right adaptor and plug in the mains into the HD PVR
When you've got a successful connection between your Xbox and your TV Screen and you can see what's on your Xbox
You're going to want to open Total Media Extreme and choose 'Record Video'
This should detect your Hauppauge HD PVR and start displaying it on your Computer Screen
From the drop down list choose Hauppauge HD PVR and click 'Refresh'
Then choose the following video and audio inputs then click 'Device Settings'
Play around with these if you want but I keep them at default
and then choose Video Standard: PAL_B
Then click OK
Now you want to click on the 'Format Settings'
Depending on the power of your PC, you can change the bitrate but I kept mine at 8
and then keep all your settings as the ones shown
after clicking on OK
If you go down, make sure you have a preview of the recording
Then you can choose different formats: Playstation 3, AVCHD and Xbox 360
Then you want to choose where you're going to save it
If your having difficulty getting the Hauppauge HD PVR to connect correctly
I suggest turning the Hauppauge HD PVR on and off
or closing Total Media Extreme and opening again usually works
You'll eventually get the connection
Whether you have a Hauppauge HD PVR or not
if you have any queries or questions, I'll be happy to answer them
I've had the Hauppauge quite a while now and I know a lot about it
send me a message if you do have any questions
Thanks
