Transcript:
Biomimicry is the process of understanding
the designs and materials that we find in biology and
adapting them for human use.
So, over the millions and millions of years of evolution
there's tremendous
wisdom and efficiency in biological systems. For example, photosynthesis;
the abilitiy to transform solar energy
into chemical energy.
uh... or
the impressive
nanostructures we see in biology, such as proteins and nucleic acids
can serve as blueprints for us to make man-made materials
that will have improved
properties.
