WELCOME TO ALL HANDS UPDATE. I'M PETTY OFFICER AMARA TIMBERLAKE WITH YOUR HEADLINES FROM
AROUND THE FLEET.
THE USS ENTERPRISE CARRIER STRIKE GROUP IS SLATED TO RETURN TO NORFOLK, VIRGINIA NOVEMBER
4TH, FOLLOWING A SEVEN AND A HALF MONTH DEPLOYMENT. THE STRIKE GROUP SERVED IN THE U.S. 5TH AND
6TH FLEET AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY CONDUCTING MARITIME SECURITY OPERATIONS AND MISSIONS
IN SUPPORT OF OPERATION ENDURING FREEDOM. THIS WILL BE THE 25TH AND FINAL HOMECOMING
FOR THE CARRIER BEFORE IT IS INACTIVATED IN A CEREMONY DECEMBER 1ST.
SAILORS AND CIVILIAN MARINERS FROM EIGHT NATIONS OFFICIALLY KICKED-OFF EXERCISE CUTLASS EXPRESS
2012 DURING PRE-SAIL CONFERENCES IN EAST AFRICA NOVEMBER 1ST. THIS YEAR'S EXERCISE IS PART
OF THE LARGER 'EXPRESS' SERIES OF EXERCISES AND DESIGNED TO DEVELOP AFRICAN MARITIME RELATIONSHIPS
