I am Nina Mikhailova with an Expert Village and we will talk about warming up before you
go on stage or before you start speaking. Many people don't pay attention much about
warming up before you start talking and that's why you can force your voice too hard and
you can lose your voice. You cannot imagine if the dancer or the champion just starts
running before he warms up his muscles and our voice it's a muscle, actually it's a group
of muscles. The correct voice delivery should be with a right breath support. Let's talk
a little bit about how to breathe. The biggest mistake is that people take too much of air
and then they take air on air and they kind of stop. So, you don't have to take too much
air. Imagine that you smell a burn and you're doing like sniff, sniff. This is plenty. This
is just enough. So the first exercise will be this. Sniff, Sniff, Sniff. Every time when
you turn your head imagine like is it a smell that comes form here, smells come from here,
smells come from here, and put your hands on your stomach. So you will feel how your
diaphragm works.
