. I'm going to start the
recording.
INSTRUCTOR: Hello everybody. This is Marty Atkinson I am the moderator for
today's seminar. It gives me great pleasure to be the moderator for take your online
teaching to new heights with the online teaching certification program with Anna
Stirling and Micah
Orloff.
INSTRUCTOR: Thank you, thank you for getting us started. My name is Anna tonight in
the certification coordinator for the online teaching certification program. An little bit of history about myself I
teach at computer science in computer applications department. I have been teaching
online for about six years. So I was very excited to become part of the program
a few years
ago.
>>: I am Micah Orloff high in the interim director of the F1 project. I am here to support
anna as well. I have been
with at one for five years
now. I am happy to be able to hear her voice again on the call. But being involved for the
last five years and during training events in doing training events in coordinating hands on
and being the role of co- director hopefully bringing
new training opportunities for you
guys.
The first thing I want to do is welcome everybody to the presentation today and tell you a little bit
about what we are going to take doing. Today we are going to give you an overview
of the program and we are going to explain how the program
works. And then throughout and at the end we will identify important tools and resources that will help you a long the
journey.
We are going to start off here with a little interactive quiz. You
will see the letters pop up underneath where we had the check marks and asked
before. Right now, tell us if you are currently teaching online choose A, if you are
planning to teach online in the next one -- two semesters choose B. If you are thinking
about teaching online or are not sure yet used
C.
STUDENT: I am on the phone so how do I choose? I plan on teaching
online.
INSTRUCTOR: Basically we are trying to capture some stats on that. There will be a couple of more
polls. You can simply come on and tell us quickly and then mute
back. It looks like we have a couple people who are already teaching online, a couple that
looks like they are going to be teaching pretty
soon and then at the bottom it looks like some of you will teach in three or more semesters. That
is great. For all of you but especially for the ones that plan on teaching in a couple
semesters, you
could have your teaching certification completed by the time you're ready to teach online.
I am actually going to hand it over to Micah and he will give you sum history.
INSTRUCTOR: Some of you I saw in the chat window, a few of you take a couple of classes here
and there and are in the program. We will share information for those of you who have a
little information about the certification program. At one has been providing different curriculum
for support of effective online teaching for years. We always have an interest, I remember having conversations
with our moderator, about coordinating some kind of focus pathway or certification towards
delivering effective
online courses. We have been in talks as a team trying to
establish something. We realize there is a lot of faculty out
there being tasked with delivering online
courses and support those faculty around the system. Some of you are faculty that are what
I call highway fliers. Does that have to travel between different colleges and
campuses. One weight you may be more marketable is more experienced teacher and delivering effectively online. We
decided the goal was to create a program that
leveraged those
existing portions that we have. And try to package that into the
certification program. We also offer a custom program for colleges to adapt as
well.
The important thing is what would make our program any better than any other program offered
out there? We realized it depended on the research in the community about online teaching
and learning. What we did was we started to do our research and try to find out what the
research was saying about online learning
and effective practice in that area.
We came across many different standards, a few of them nationally recognized
standards. So we decided what was important was take the package curriculum and try to identify and
align it to those national standards. If it was missing a certain standard we would
update our courses to meet those. The other important thing for creating
a certification program was to make sure we were committed to providing this service at a
low cost.
If it is something that was going to push it beyond the
possibility of people participating in what is the point? We want to make sure that we
still provide high-quality service. At one has been known to do over the
years.
The certification program opened in July 2010. That was the first time we started the
enrollment process. As of May 2012 we have over 400 candidates
enrolled. It is an exciting time for us. Going through all of the
development, sitting there with Marty and the team and figuring out what we would make of this program and what it would
become, we are ecstatic to know there are 400 in gold. They are representing over 100
different colleges, universities, and institutions across the
globe. Happy to say
we have people from university University in New York, Florida, Missouri,
it we are really
excited -- we have three practicum's completed. I would really call it too and
a half because the first one was really -- we had a small group that went through the
program. With those, that one and the last two that had a full set of students in
it, we have over 40 graduates that completed the programs that are taking all of
the courses and developing the practicum development. And we are excited about that and
having them
recognizing them at the online teaching conference which we will speak about later.
How this program is supported -- we have Anna, the
certification coordinator. She is there to provide the different resources, the different trainings like
this, orient the mentors that are involved and just provide that type of information and support at the
end as well. Of course we have other at one staff like Heather and Marty and myself
that will help with different questions that are involved. Registration,
webinars, and whatnot.
Lastly, to reemphasize the program goal. The important thing
was again, what is so great about our program that lets you, as individual
faculty members, that the program will be the one that really does produce the outcomes that we are looking
for which is at the end, quality effective teaching and
learning? No worries, sorry about that. A little audio technical
difficulties. Again, the program goal, is for you to be able to demonstrate proficiency,
knowledge, skills, ability, that are identified in
the national standards for quality of online
teaching. North American Council of online learning. Truthfully, it is an international group
association for online learning. There is a link there if you want to learn more about it (On the Board).
Together, the southeastern presentation board put together the standards based on research in the
community. We believe that the curriculum that we create will provide you the
necessary content and information to acknowledge, and you are going to show
through your product portfolio the skills and ability to show
competency and proficiency in those standards.
You can find those standards on line, both at the at one website on the certification
page and directly from the iNACOL website.
We are currently using version one. Version taught why did come
wo came out late last year and we are currently working to
make sure our courses meet those standards.
Again, it is about quality development. They are using research in the
field to create those standards
and -- we are getting a lot of crosstalk, I cross talk, I apologize for
that. There are 13 standards and that group of standards.
We will be talking a little bit more about those as well. And Marty was nice
enough to share the link as well.
Now I will hand it back over to Anna.
INSTRUCTOR: Thank you. Again, great information for you guys about where the program came from and a little bit more about the standards
we are using. I will talk a little more about the standards when I talk about the
courses and the teaching practicum that you will be doing at the end of
that. It seems like something you will be interested in, you can go to our
website at one for training dot Word/certification. In the
upper right-hand corner you can click on the N. roll now icon. That will take
you to a simple enrollment area. The great thing as it is completely free to enroll. You don't
have to pay anything to an role. Of course, when you start taking your courses you will pay for
those. But becoming part of the program does not require payment.
A benefit to this is once you are part of the program you will receive priority registration for all of
the certification courses.
What we are going to do now is find out a little bit about who you are. If you can
go ahead and use those polling options again on the side, let us know what your
primary role at your institution is (On the
Board). We will go ahead and share that with the
group.
It looks like primarily today we have faculty. We have quite a few
staff members and some other people, coordinators at their
institution. It does not look like we have any administrators joining us today. And that is okay. The reason we ask is
because we want to see what the distribution is. When we look at who is registered or enrolled
in our program you will see about 77 percent are faculty members. It is pretty
much in-line with what we saw today. The majority of people participating or faculty
members. You see we do have a good amount of staff, another 11 percent would be
administrators and D in that coordinators. Again the people that are not
affiliated with actual educational institution but who are interested in becoming online teachers are in that other
group.
We do know it is important to know who our audience is. The program is directed at the community college
level. And online faculty are people who are interested in teaching online. We want to make sure
we are providing information for every body who is part of the program.
>>: I should emphasize when we were talking about the iNACOL
there primarily focused K-12 group but I assure you when we did our research standards much of
the standards, all of the standards come from the research community which ends up, a lot of
the different criteria that comes from the research community is also important
and significant to the higher Ed segment. When we look at the different standard there were other
ones out there that focused on higher education and a lot of it was very
similar. We
felt that primarily community colleges but also support different
segments. We want to make sure we are getting a more general opportunity for those different
members.
INSTRUCTOR: The other thing we wanted to find out when we asked our candidates why they were participating in
the program. We asked them what is your reasoning for this. We came up with a couple of different
themes. We found they were both intrinsic and extrinsic values are reasons they were doing this. We heard a lot
that people really wanted to learn how to teach online. That was there primary goal. They wanted
to know exactly what they need to do. They felt that go through certification would
give them the opportunity.
Also to improve their online teaching skills. We have a lot of participants who are already teaching online but they
want to be the best they can. And also to identify strategies using online teaching to actually enhance their
face to face and hybrid classes. We have a lot go through the
program that don't actually teach online that they are starting to
move into that realm. A lot of them are doing that I integrated some of these practices in face-to-face or
starting to teach a hybrid course.
And then also the extrinsic values -- they want to be more
marketable. Use it for career advancement. Also, they were really interested in setting themselves apart in the
job search. Especially in today's market, it is a tough fight for those
positions. Having anything that sets you apart from your competitors gives you an advantage.
And this certification can do that for you.
What I will do now is explained a little bit how
the program offering. There are two phases to certification program. The first one is
the coursework phase. The second one is the actual teaching
practicum.
There is a link on the top right of your screen that is for the general certification
information and Marty will put that in the chat window for you. This is a website that
again, at one for training dot word you can get all of the information that I am giving you today
is available there and a bunch of additional resources.
If you still have questions after this and we don't get them answered, make sure you go there and check them
out. My contact information is there as well.
The first phase is the coursework phase. When we look at this program we realized
we really need to start off and make sure everyone has a really good foundation for teaching online. We have
everyone take the introduction to online teaching and learning course first. In
this course you not only learn about online
pedagogy, focused on student centered learning that you also learned a little bit about course design and setting up the
structure. What areas are important to make your online classes run
smoothly. We talk about copyright laws especially with online delivery. And you learn a little
bit about specific online learning tools. They can, this is an introduction to what a lot of different
areas where you will have more refined courses later. A lot of the course is
on the structure of developing your online course.
>>: I think one of the things we are noticing in this class is it really helps the faculty member who
is new to online teaching and learning to help them kind
of demystify the experience because they operate as an online student in the class. What they realize quickly
is need, the intrinsic need in having social
participatory interaction where you are working with others. It is not just consuming information that you are working with others and coming
back to discuss with others. You are
also seeing as the instructor models different sets of practices that we model throughout the program.
You are starting to see as a student, why does our valuable. And therefore find ways to her self, to
make sure you have it as part of your content delivery for your students. It
is really nice to be able to operate as an online student to get that experience and
it really then, when you are designing your course, know what your students might be looking
for.
INSTRUCTOR: That is one of the things in the standard, we
technically don't assess throughout the course is that you have participated in online. Obviously by taking
the course online you are pursuing that area as a standard. It is a very important
part. It was one of the things that we looked for win we looked for standards for this program was to make sure that was
integrated. The other thing and this is you will actually be given access to
mahara which is that each portfolio
an e
Portfolio program. This is important because as you go through the course you will be developing different
artifacts. For examples they are different standards that you will be having to demonstrate at the end
and you are practicum.
Giving access to this mahara E portfolio in
the first course you have the ability to place all of the artifacts you develop throughout the
program. Ideally when you get to the practicum stage of the program you will already have the majority of your
content developed. I will explain a little bit more about that one we get to the practicum page. I just want to
remind you that you can access this portfolio. At the very beginning, the first
class to take.
Once you have completed the introduction to online teaching and learning, there are four other courses you are required to
complete. (On the Board) CMS training
is your course management system. You can take either the intro to teaching with Moodle or
blackboard. If your institution uses a
different course management system you can contact me directly and we can determine if there is other training
completed that can exempt you from the standup training.
>>: In most cases we would need a letter or an e-mail from your
professional development coordinator or your for your learning management coordinator showing me
that you have completed a training on your course management
system. If you are an in A to Mac institution you obviously have to go through that certification class and
that proof will be eligible for marking it off with our program. You need
a different program if you are taking that training for a local provider. For example, you don't take our
moodle class
B. if taken have taken it through one of your providers you just provide us with that certificate. If you get your training
through your local college that is what we need a letter from.
INSTRUCTOR: If you have any questions you can contact me directly and I will work with you to make sure that we not only get
what is required for us on our end to make sure you complete that training but that you also
understand the items that you would have completed in our courses that are required to be in your
portfolio.
The remaining classes, you have creating accessible online courses which
again tells you about making sure you meet all of the accessibility requirements for captioning,
video, audio, anything that will require some sort of additional
accommodations. That course is going to go through all of those different requirements.
Again, the focus on the California community college systems those are a lot of the standards that will be delivered
in that course. And then you have to build an online community with social media. We really stress and
emphasize the power of social learning. So this course is going to show you different tools
that you can use and provide you with different
scenarios that you can include in your online courses to develop
and build that community .-period-paragraph and then you have the designing
effective online assessments we talk about different ways you can assess courses. Working with learning
objectives.
>>: Focus on traditional testing as well as non- traditional performance based authentic
performance-based authentic assessments. Different options basically account you can assess an online environment to make sure
that you are getting both formative, you know,
responses.
INSTRUCTOR: Obviously, the assessment is one of the biggest concerns anytime you are delivering a course online. We want to make sure we
deliver you with a full course that met those needs to give you a real
secure.
Those are the five courses that you are required to take. Just in general, a little overview of
the courses. Each course is four weeks long. They all involve approximate
only ten hours a week for work. Ten hours of
work each week. Some may require a little more or a little less. Ten is about the
approximation. We recommend that you take one course at a time. Especially if you are
working teaching, then you go home and do something else. Of
course if you are not teaching for a semester and you
want to take two classes, it is up to you, whatever schedule is appropriate
for you. You want to remember you need to devote about ten hours per course per week. And all
of the courses or offered three times per year. Once in the fall, spring, and
summer. All of these courses are delivered in moodle except for the
introduction to blackboard. If you are not familiar with that learning management system you will be
in meet with your courses for that one.
And now lastly, very important, if you are a certification candidate you get priority registration for all of these
courses. You can register two weeks prior to the general population of people who are
interested in participating.
>>: We have other 10,000 people in our registration
system. Certification candidates will get a two-week advantage for registering for courses. It is
definitely a benefit being in the program.
INSTRUCTOR: There is definitely a high demand so having that little bit of priority registration is
helpful. Before I move on to the next phase of the certification program I have a quick
question. I have one more thing. I mentioned this a little earlier about having to build
an e portfolio in the actual
practicum phase. Before you get to the practicum you can be building your
e folio in mahara for
poor Google if you are more comfortable. In a case that can be
accessible from the web. As you are going
through each one of these courses we have developed these artifact guides for you. They are
specific items that you will be creating in the courses that you will then use to demonstrate your proficiency
of the standards when you get to the practicum phase. You can see on your
screen here there is a link to the portfolio information, at one four training (On the
Board). On the right-hand side you will see a blue box and there is a link. There
is one for each course. You can go there and check those out. I
highly recommend if you become part of the certification program that you print out all of these guides and have
them readily available to you while you are taking a course to make sure that you are actually developing these
artifacts along the way so you don't have to go back and develop these at the end.
>>: I will add quickly, what is really valuable, I hope if you go through the
program he will consider this -- these guides give you sum ideas as two how you can demonstrate
these proficiencies. It gives you different opportunities to showcase that. Right away you should be thinking
as you are going through the program how'd you can use how you can use these different
artifacts specifically for implementation or an Corporation incorporation in your existing
course. The reason I theta is if you are working on something that will make
an impact immediately rather than doing it for the program, you will see a lot more effort and passion
towards creating at that point. The other part of that is if you start creating
these artifacts while you are taking the course rather than waiting until you get to the practicum, all
of that information while you are going through the course, content, reflection, learning,
discussion, is in your
mind. It is fresh. That is best time to start developing now. When you are
ready to go in the practicum series
then you will be able to just refine those artifacts or have additional ones that demonstrate
competency.
INSTRUCTOR: I just want to add also, these are just
suggestions. There are additional things that you can create and develop that will demonstrate your proficiency for things you might
already be doing in your courses and you may not need to develop something additional.
These are just guides that will help you along the way. Of course, if you have any questions you can always contact
me.
>>: We had a question that set is certification possible to transfer to other
states? There is no actual transfer agreement set up with other states. However, what is great is the fact
that you are delivering or creating this portfolio that showcases your knowledge skills and
abilities, in truth, your port folio also operates a store certification. If you
were to go to another state and a prospective employer and they we're going to ask you, how do we know you are
a good online instructor? Rather
than showing them a certificate, you could actually showcased to them through your portfolio the
actual content and artifacts, knowledge, reflection, skills, ability, on that document and let
it speak for itself. Rather than them having to go and see whether
the certification transfers. Instead, they get to see your product right there. What ends up
happening is if you go into a prospective employers committee you are not
only going to have people from those different departments at HR but
you also have
people who are focusing on your discipline. They also know that you not only understand online
teaching but you also understand online teaching in your discipline. It is a great question and that is why we
stand by the portfolio because we believe that is the power behind the
program.
INSTRUCTOR: Let's see if you were paying attention. In a certification program we said you have to
complete five courses. What course do you need to complete
first. (On the
Board) you can use those polling options to the
side. we will give you a couple of seconds. Looks like everyone
has been paying attention. You understand the correct answer is
C. It's either you were paying attention or you are using the normal objective -based testing
strategy that one in doubt always use the C. We will know for
sure when you take the program. Thanks for
playing.
INSTRUCTOR: Now, once you have completed all of your
certification the next step is the teaching practicum. We have alluded to it multiple times throughout the
conversation. For us, we really believe this is one of the things about our certification program that sets us
apart and makes our program unique. In this, your whole goal of the
program and the teaching practicum is to develop and share
e portfolios that demonstrate your proficiency. You are going to do this by providing not only
the specific
artifacts that we told you you should be creating, and different things you will be creating
on your own, but you will also be sharing personal reflections.
We feel that this part is one of the most important aspects of the entire program. Not
only are you going to show as an item and say it demonstrates my proficiency but you are going to tell
us why and explain to us the benefit of that standard along with
how the artifacts demonstrate your skill in that, your knowledge about it, and why it is beneficial
overall.
Including these reflections will be extremely important and that is why we are key that you set it up
as a portfolio. In previous practicum's, you know
candidates where we had an option to provide your practicum in an online course. We just found that
delivery did not demonstrate the portfolio the way we really would like
to see it and that candidates we're having a difficult time really providing that reflection in that
environment.
>>: To say, there have been candidates that have been able to do that. They have been
able to establish reflections in the course management. It is not that it is impossible. The Big
Bang is however, this is a portfolio that you should be
portable. He should be something you are able to share on the fly with not necessarily
even using [inaudible] to authenticate. It might be necessary to have login credentials but the real value is ability to be
able to showcase it. The reflections or a very, very
important part of that. We don't want you to think about the writing component of
this program. That is not what it is. Really, this portfolio should be able, if you
weren't with them, if speak with your prospective employer or students, it should be
able to speak for itself. That might be through text reflections, your writing.
It might be through video or screen capture reflections. Like you are in front of a WebCam
sharing and talking. It might be a recording of your voice. Those types of
things.
Basically, the idea if it is not enough to share with us this is an assignment that I did in one of my
classes and this assignment meets one of your standards.
It should be the reason why I created this artifact or the portfolio is that it does meet the standard by
emphasizing student to student interaction and it shows that I modeled and foster community building
in the class. Here are the reasons why I did that. Here are the reasons the artifacts
shows and demonstrates that. That is important thing. When we go through the review process it needs to
speak for itself. You are not going to be able to to be be their lives to defend
it. In stead, you need to make
it so the portfolio speaks for it's
self.
INSTRUCTOR: The teaching practicum is a 12 week semi structured schedule. When I mean semi- structure,
we have milestones where you will be completing
different, CCC confer training, and tend orientation, meet with your
mentor. We have a date range. We know everyone works at a different pace so we want to to be accommodating to that but
we also need to make sure we have some definition to when you start and go to this section
of the program.
This gives you a general overview of the schedule and structure. Again, once you sign-up
for the certification you will receive some additional resources and you will see
that image again when you pretend to be orientation. You don't have to worry about it right now but just know this is
the kind of semi structured schedule we have.
You also see the resource in the upper right-hand corner (On the Board). That will
take you to the general information for the practicum phase of the certification program.
During the practicum he will be assigned a mentor. You see on the right-hand side some pictures
of our previous mentors. These are all experienced online
instructors for educators. Many of them are certification program graduates so they understand the process
and know what you are going through. They had to build all of these artifacts, build
an e portfolio so they can help you on the
process. There there to mentor you. There not there to be your teacher and read teach you how to create
anything.
There just there to go over your port folio and artifacts and to provide you
feedback about whether or not you are meeting the standards. Once you meet with your mentor and go over your
portfolio and you will have a period of time where you can put any final touches on it that you
need. Then you will schedule your final portfolio evaluation.
Your final evaluation will be done by your mentor. They will review it to see that you
have taken into consideration the suggestions they made and then it will be reviewed by either
an act one director or advisor to verify that you have met all of the standards and
that you are portfolio demonstrates that.
As I said, you will have to complete CCC confer life training. All of
that information will be provided to you when you actually
register.
Real quick, I just wanted to show you a couple of examples of what sample
e portfolios look like. The first one I am going to show you is using
mhara. You will see that if you look in the orange part of the picture on the left-hand side there are some
tabs. They are kind of hard to read here. She actually took each course that she participated
in throughout the certification program and created a page for each one of those courses.
On that page she has examples, artifacts, links to videos, assignments,
documents. Another cool thing she did is she has
on the right-hand side, a section where she listed each of the standards she met. With
that course, or the artifacts that were provided on that page. That is just one example of how you can
set up a portfolio.
>>: What is really nice about that is the review process obviously makes it much
easier. But, as you shared this portfolio with prospective
employers or students, it lets them see how you have met those standards and it is easily outline for
them.
INSTRUCTOR: This is an example of a portfolio that was set up using Google. You can see she
did a really cool image on the front page where she had all of the different standards around the
center. And if you actually click on one of those letters he would you a page where she had an overview
of the standard. You can see she embedded some YouTube videos that
she created that demonstrated throughout her courses where she was applying
different, how she had a different things different things applied to the standards.
She also had a separate area where she had attached specific artifacts for that
standard. I clicked on one of the examples and it was a welcome
letter. Different layout, same information being provided. Again, both of these portfolios,
you would not have to be in a room with these people to see that they both clearly understood the
standards and could provide examples to demonstrate their proficiency in the standard. That is what you are going to be
doing when you get to the stage of the
this stage of the
certification.
>>: I just wanted to share, Kim can have a question and this was the portfolio from
mahara. The candidate used a page or tab for each one of the courses? And that is correct. And
this one is focused on the different standards and shared the artifacts. What is important about this is
that the portfolio is unique to you. We don't want you to feel like it is
a boilerplate product that you are going to deliver it it is going to be very much the same as
somebody else's. In truth, this is your opportunity to not
only share these artifacts but also inject your
creativity, style, format, and really deliver who you are and this portfolio along with that.
Google is free, the Google site is free. They are great examples. Kim asked is
Mahara free and it is. It is made available through Pat
at
one. The teacher will ask you to create the assignment and then produce
it over into the mahara environment. In the end what
we wanted to do was make sure we get options. While some people did use the
mahara and they were more comfortable with Google so we allow that as
well. We want you to feel comfortable. If you are a web author and you use
Dreamweaver to do similar things for free.
INSTRUCTOR: There is no boilerplate template we are not going to roll out
something -- it is a development process and part of building that portfolio demonstrates your
proficiencies.
Really quick, the question what it always comes down to is money. How much does it
cost? Again, at one is dedicated to providing quality education at
a low cost. If you are part of a public educational institution each course is $55
per course. And then you are teaching practicum is going to be 225
dollars so the full price for the entire program is $500.
Of course, if you are not in California it is a little bit more. But you could take a look at
this and the structure is also on the website.
INSTRUCTOR: Once again, I just want to remind you that
enroll them in the program is completely
free. We're back again, you will get priority registration once you become part of the certification
program. Again, what is your team enrollment status? (On the
Board) pretty even distribution. We have some already in the program and hopefully this will excite you to
follow through it. We would love to see you in the practicum portion. For those of
you that shows that we are enrolling today because it is free, we are excited to have you
onboard. For those of you that are considering it, you can always contact us. The information is on the website and
we will be happy to answer any questions you have. If you want any more information about different
programs or you want to be put in touch with another candidate we would be glad to help you in that
regard.
The last slide, I want to let you know that all of the resources I talked to you about
today are available on this slide. Marty made it available at the beginning of the
presentation. You can go directly to this resource page and go to all of these links for all of the information that we
talked about today. The whole PowerPoint will be available to you on the at one
website. You will be receiving an e-mail in the 48 hours with a link to the recorded
archive. Marty has posted all of those links in
the chat window for you.
>>: We have answered some questions already but if you have more questions we would be happy to answer those. Fill
free to type them in or if you are not online fill free to add me to your self income online. I
did see a question I want to make sure we answered.
Mahara Free if it is not true through at one? Marty shared with you that it
is free through us and available to you through us. However, if you do want to use it on your own you
are able to set up, I believe it is open-source. If you
wanted to install
it on your own on your own Web server you could do that. If you want
to find a solution provider that provides access to
Mahara I know it exists. I can think of the name of it.
I will try to find that resource and post it into -- I will ask you to
if you want to know what the link is I am going to ask you to e-mail
Anna and we will get it to
her. Again, if you have any follow-up questions please feel free to contact me
and I will give you links to information, give you all
of the information I can in all
of that good stuff. Is our material protected? That is
a great question. What we want to share with you is when you enroll in the program there
is an intellectual-property kind of statement that basically says the material and information that we
put up on a portfolio obviously is going to be used when you deliver it to people
or when it is delivered by us. As you can see we were sharing a couple of
samples of portfolios in the presentation and that is one of the things in that statement is we can use it
for potential marketing for presentation but nothing more. It is
your prerogative how you want to set it up for privacy
purposes. In Google you can set it up for only people you provide a link to it can see it. In
Mahara you can give roles and
permissions. It really depends on how you set up the privacy for
that.
Lastly, we just like to say if you have questions for free to type it in. But, do you fill out the survey
for us. We do take the information that you share in the survey very
important to us, we use that information to better our webinar
programs. We do take this information and we want to make sure we are providing you the best service as possible. So if you could
take two or three minutes to do that as you could. If there are any other questions fill free to type them again.
Otherwise, I would say
please have a great thing, thanks for attending. If you want to know more about the
project or any other resources or training sources we provide, visit us at our website. (On the
Board) thanks
again.
>>: Thank you everybody for doing a really good presentation today. I am going to goahead and
