Transcript:
THE GUIDED-MISSILE FRIGATE USS RUEBEN JAMES DEPARTS FROM ITS HOME PORT IN JOINT BASE PEARL
HARBOR-HICKAM FOR ITS LAST DEPLOYMENT BEFORE BEING DECOMMISSIONED.
THE SHIP IS 26 YEARS OLD. WE'RE EXCITED, WE'VE WORKED HARD TO GET HERE - THE SAILORS ARE
READY, I'M READY - EVERYBODY'S READY. WE'RE READY TO GO.
THIS DEPLOYMENT IS GOING TO BE USED TO HELP RUEBEN JAMES SAILORS PREPARE FOR GOING TO
THEIR NEXT COMMANDS AFTER THE SHIP DECOMMISSIONS.
WE'RE GOING TO GET BETTER. WE'RE GOING TO BE DOING A LOT OF TRAINING. WE WANT OUR SAILORS
TO DEPART REUBEN JAMES AND GO TO THE DIFFERENT OTHER COMMANDS AND SHIPS ON THE WATERFRONT
AND HOLD OUR NAME PROUD AND SAY, HEY, I WAS A REUBEN JAMES SAILOR.
REPORTING FROM JOINT BASE PEARL HARBOR-HICKAM, I'M PETTY OFFICER DUSTIN SISCO.
