GRACE HELBIG: So you really saw George Clooney?
FEMALE SPEAKER: Yeah.
He goes to my gym right across the street.
GRACE HELBIG: What?
Was he sweating.
FEMALE SPEAKER: Oh my gosh.
So much.
It was so hot.
GRACE HELBIG: Like bead sweating or like--
Hey.
Hey there.
Grace here on Sunset Boulevard in Los Angeles, California.
It's my first time here, and I'm really excited.
Tonight for My Damn Channel's Music Nights presented by
SoCo, we're at The Roxy music club where Linkin Park, Nelly
Furtado, and Fall Out Boy have all rocked the Sunset Strip.

Do you think there's anything sexy about a musician?
[LAUGHTER]
GRACE HELBIG: I'll take that as a yes.
FEMALE SPEAKER: Well, I mean, I know from experience not to
date band boys.
FEMALE SPEAKER: Well, god, I've been married
to a couple of them.
Yeah, obviously I do.
Yeah.
GRACE HELBIG: Have you ever dated a musician?
FEMALE SPEAKER: Yes.
GRACE HELBIG: Do you have a bias now?
FEMALE SPEAKER: Yes.
FEMALE SPEAKER: Their forearms are so hot.
They just like ripple when they play.
FEMALE SPEAKER: I like drummers.
They're trouble.
Stay away.
MALE SPEAKER: Chicks dig drummers.
GRACE HELBIG: Is that true?
FEMALE SPEAKER: I dig this one.
GRACE HELBIG: What do you play?
MALE SPEAKER: I play guitar.
MALE SPEAKER: I'm a bass player.
GRACE HELBIG: And why did you start playing
guitar and the bass?
MALE SPEAKER: Girls.
MALE SPEAKER: Yeah, pretty much girls.
[MUSIC - MATT HASLETT]
GRACE HELBIG: So Matt, what kind of music do you play?
MATT HASLETT: I play sort of a blend of acoustic and blues,
just folky music.
GRACE HELBIG: And it's just you, solo performer.
MATT HASLETT: It's just me.
Yep.
I like it that it's kind of naked and bare.
And it sort of forces you to be a better musician when
you're up there.
GRACE HELBIG: So you perform naked.
MATT HASLETT: Completely naked.
Stripped down.
GRACE HELBIG: You don't even have to play an instrument to
get people to come to the show.
MATT HASLETT: Not really.
I think I should call my band Matt Haslett and
the Birthday Suit.
GRACE HELBIG: Or Matt Haslett is the Birthday Suit.
OK.
Finish this lyric.
(SINGING - "I LOVE ROCK N ROLL")
MALE SPEAKER: Put another dime in the jukebox baby.
FEMALE SPEAKER: (SINGING - "I LOVE ROCK N ROLL")
MALE SPEAKER: You know that I actually have a signed Joan
Jett Oriole hat.
GRACE HELBIG: How did you get the hat?
MALE SPEAKER: I was at an Oriole game, baby.
GRACE HELBIG: With Joan Jett?
MALE SPEAKER: Well, she was singing the National Anthem.
Yeah.
GRACE HELBIG: And you went up to her after the show?
MALE SPEAKER: No, she was walking by.
GRACE HELBIG: And you just--
MALE SPEAKER: Kind of like you.
GRACE HELBIG: What kind of music do you think is the best
music to get your sex on to?
FEMALE SPEAKER: He's a fan of The Black Crowes.
MALE SPEAKER: She would know.
FEMALE SPEAKER: If it resonates and you feel it in
like the bottom of your stomach.
GRACE HELBIG: Like Barry White?
FEMALE SPEAKER: Not that low in my stomach.
MALE SPEAKER: I like old Motown, man.
FEMALE SPEAKER: Kind of like the stuff you hear in Shaft.
No, I'm kidding.
GRACE HELBIG: Nice.
Shaft!
MATT HASLETT: That song, "Crush," that's a great one.
I've used that one before.
I'm not gonna lie.
GRACE HELBIG: That's your go to?
FEMALE SPEAKER: Queen.
GRACE HELBIG: (SINGING - "WE ARE THE
CHAMPIONS") in the bedroom.
[MUSIC - CHELSEA WILLIAMS AND ASIA WHITEACRE]

GRACE HELBIG: What's been some of the best experiences you've
had performing live?
CHELSEA WILLIAMS: Well, I'm a street performer for a living.
I play on 3rd Street Promenade in Santa Monica
just to pay the bills.
And so I've had like a lot of really cool experiences there.
Just crazy things like there are a lot of homeless people
on that street, and one of them tried to throw their bike
at me one time.
GRACE HELBIG: Ooh.
CHELSEA WILLIAMS: That was pretty exciting.
GRACE HELBIG: Maybe that means he likes you.
CHELSEA WILLIAMS: I think he had a little crush.
Maybe.
[MUSIC - CHELSEA WILLIAMS AND ASIA WHITEACRE]

GRACE HELBIG: That's it for The Roxy on the legendary
Sunset Strip.
For My Damn Channel's Music Nights presented
by SoCo, I'm Grace.
I'll see you next time from The Viper Room.
Bye-bye.
