Microfiber Cleaning for Healthcare Facilities

Properly using UniFirst's microfiber infection control system will save time, save money, and
result in cleaner patient rooms.
By following these guidelines you'll be sure to
maximize the cleaning potential of these products
while eliminating cross contamination caused by mopping.
You'll want to start by using the high dusterto clean hard to reach surfaces.
To assemble the high duster
slide a clean micro fiber sleeve over the flexible dusting tool
and secure the velcro closure.
To extend your reach using the adjustable mop handle 0:00:44.070,0:00:48.880 remove the hand gripped by pressing firmly on the two side buttons to release the locking
and pull the handle straight off.
slide the tool onto the mop handle while pressing the side buttons. 0:00:58.300,0:01:04.690 Release the buttons and make sure the tabs are securely locked onto the mop handle.
Finally, you want to bend the high duster into an "L" shape 0:01:07.950,0:01:11.470 to maximize contact with the surface.
Now simply wipe the high duster along the surfaces that you wish to clean.

Next, you'll cleaned the remaining non-glass surfaces of the room
using our microfiber wipes and mitts.
Each microfiber cloth can be folded to provide eight separate cleaning surfaces.
Start by folding the cloth in half
and then fold the cloth in half again.
Wipe any flat smooth surface with the cloth
and when it becomes soiled
turn the cloth over and continue cleaning.
To access two more clean surfaces
simply unfold and refold the two used surfaces
Finally repeat this
process with the other side of the cloth
by refolding the first fold, folding the dirty
side of the towel against itself.

and is handy for odd shaped surfaces.

Once all the surface cleaning is done you're ready to dry mop the floor and baseboards.

Begin by adjusting the mop handle.
First secure the mop head by
stepping on the base.
Twist the mop handle counterclockwise to release.
Adjust the handle to chin height
and twist the handle clockwise to lock in place. Next
secure a dust mop to the handle by placing a microfiber dust mop on the floor
and pressing the mmop frame against the center of the pad.
The oversized pad allows the dust mop to be used to clean baseboards and corners.
Mop the room from the far edge of the room working back towards the door
using a figure eight pattern and maintaining a consistent
leading edge.

To remove the dust mop
simply stand on the edges of the maop head
and pull straight up on the mob handle.
To avoid excessive

To remove the pad
again stand on the edge of the pad and pull the mop handle straight up.
By using the velcro on the mop frame to spear the mop head in the center
you can remove the pad without handling the dirty
