[MUSIC PLAYING]
ANZE SKRUBE: Hey.
MEGHAN ROSETTE: Hi.
ANZE SKRUBE: How you doing?
MEGHAN ROSETTE: I'm good.
How are you?
I'm Meghan.
ANZE SKRUBE: I'm Anze.
MEGHAN ROSETTE: Nice to meet you.
ANZE SKRUBE: Pleasure to meet you.
MEGHAN ROSETTE: When I found out that Anze is my partner, I
was excited and nervous at the same time.
I get really awkward around boys.
ANZE SKRUBE: You ready to dance?
MEGHAN ROSETTE: Yes.
ANZE SKRUBE: Yes.
Are you excited?
MEGHAN ROSETTE: I'm really excited.
I'm excited and nervous.
But mostly excited.
ANZE SKRUBE: Why would you be nervous?
MEGHAN ROSETTE: He's definitely a really good
dancer from what I can tell.
But he's a boy and I'm like five years
old and I get awkward.
And boys have cooties.
ANZE SKRUBE: Have you ever danced before?
You have any experience?
MEGHAN ROSETTE: I've done musical theater.
So I can do the whole box step and jazz hands thing.
But more than that, I don't really know how
advanced I can get.
ANZE SKRUBE: She's 19 and very powerful,
energetic in her videos.
[MUSIC - NELLY FURTADO, "MANEATER"]

ANZE SKRUBE: I'm just concerned if she's going to be
able to get serious.

Hopefully, she'll be able to relax and just
enjoy her time on stage.
What kind of music do you listen to?
MEGHAN ROSETTE: Oh.
I listen to everything.
I'm a huge fan of pop music in general but I also kind of
like indie music.
ANZE SKRUBE: Do you like old-school music?
MEGHAN ROSETTE: Yeah.
I love old-school stuff.
ANZE SKRUBE: I have this really cool routine for you.
And it's actually a '70s routine.
So we'll try to capture '70s feel.
MEGHAN ROSETTE: OK.
Cool.
Honestly, Anze's not my type.
If I was attracted to him I would not perform at all.
I would be so much more awkward and feel
uncomfortable.
And be like, I don't want to dance.
Oh my god no.
So I'm happy that we can be buddies.
ANZE SKRUBE: We'll have a lot of work to do.
I hope you're ready.
MEGHAN ROSETTE: I can do it, I'm ready.
ANZE SKRUBE: Are you?
MEGHAN ROSETTE: I think so.
ANZE SKRUBE: Here we go.
You start with your right.
You're just going to press your heel down a couple times.
And try to use your hips.
We are starting with the choreography and Meghan seems
pretty nervous.
I need you to be a little more relaxed.
Yeah.
And just start to lose everything.
Yeah.
And don't think about the up, down moves.
Try to be just a little more funkier and
a little more relaxed.
Yeah.
That's better.
MEGHAN ROSETTE: I definitely think our
routine's a little funky.
I like it.
[MUSIC PLAYING]
I think it looked initially way easier
than it actually was.
So when he was doing it, I was like, I wish we
had something harder.
But now doing it, I'm like oh no.
I'm really glad.
ANZE SKRUBE: That was really good, actually.
Now try to dance three times bigger than you
feel it right now.
MEGHAN ROSETTE: I did musical theater.
I can do big.
ANZE SKRUBE: Try to be big.
Yeah.
Six, seven, eight.
MEGHAN ROSETTE: With a crisp, sharp movement that's really
cool, that is just super in sync.
And I think that's going to look awesome when we have it
all perfect.
ANZE SKRUBE: You just want to do a couple hip pumps.
So you want to go one, two, three.
Face this way.
I started with a little hip roll which was a little weird
and a little awkward for Meghan.
MEGHAN ROSETTE: I think my parents are going to
have a field day.
ANZE SKRUBE: Try to match.
Here, one and two and three.
MEGHAN ROSETTE: I'm a little nervous about the
whole pelvic thrust.
ANZE SKRUBE: One, two, three.
MEGHAN ROSETTE: I'm 19.
I'm going to get up on stage and pelvic thrusting.
I'm not--

ANZE SKRUBE: Can't be five-- like something.
Yeah?
It's five, six, seven, eight.
You like that, don't you?
MEGHAN ROSETTE: I feel like it's like so sexual.
And he's like, oh it's not sexual.
But he's like, it's not sexual with his accent
and all that stuff.
And like he's foreign and we're doing hip thrusts, and
my parents are going to watch this.
ANZE SKRUBE: Rolls.
You want to go here, here.
MEGHAN ROSETTE: Oh my god.
This is like the most sexual dance ever.
ANZE SKRUBE: Is it?
MEGHAN ROSETTE: My parents are going to watch this.
ANZE SKRUBE: We didn't even get to the sexual part.
MEGHAN ROSETTE: Don't say that.
ANZE SKRUBE: No.
I'm just kidding.
Don't worry about that.
That's a funky dance.
It's not a sexual dance.
Yeah.
This is a funky move.
But it could look sexual too.
It depends on the way you do it.
So everything is on you.
I'm sorry Meghan.
I know it had to be a little awkward for you but it worked
out well in the end.
Everything you do, just try to have a little more feeling.
Swag.
Yeah.
Just try to be loose, yeah?
MEGHAN ROSETTE: Swaggy.
OK.
I can do it.
ANZE SKRUBE: You said you were a swagger.
MEGHAN ROSETTE: I got a lot of swagger.
ANZE SKRUBE: Oh.
Well you know what, I'll bring you some more swag.
MEGHAN ROSETTE: While we were dancing, Anze gave me this
shirt that said swag on it because he told me I need to
channel my inner swag.
Granted, I listen to Justin Bieber.
I feel like I have lots of swaggy in me but apparently I
don't have enough.
Oh, it's my size and everything.
ANZE SKRUBE: Oh yeah.
That's swag.
[INAUDIBLE]
MEGHAN ROSETTE: So much swag.
ANZE SKRUBE: Five, six, seven, eight.
One, two, three, four, five, six, swag.
MEGHAN ROSETTE: So putting the shirt on, granted it was more
like a dress on me, I felt a little more confident.
I felt like I had a little more swag.
[INAUDIBLE] myself out one of those swag shirts.
[MUSIC PLAYING]
ANZE SKRUBE: Yay.
Good job.
She's funky.
That's her personality.
She just doesn't dance funky yet.
But I will make her funky.
I'll make her dance funky plus be her.
So that's a winner combination.
How do you feel about the performance so far?
MEGHAN ROSETTE: I'm feeling better about it.
It feels pretty good.
ANZE SKRUBE: You already are used to being on camera.
MEGHAN ROSETTE: Yeah.
ANZE SKRUBE: You are an entertainer.
Only thing you need is dance.
MEGHAN ROSETTE: Exactly.
It's the last--
the major component.
ANZE SKRUBE: Just focus on the choreography
and you'll be fine.
MEGHAN ROSETTE: Awesome.
We got this.
ANZE SKRUBE: Yes, Meghan.
MEGHAN ROSETTE: Got this one.
ANZE SKRUBE: Winners.
Make sure you vote.
MEGHAN ROSETTE: For us.
