President Obama has been in office for almost two years
now, and we aren't quite sure why the Chicago-born Obama
Slide hasn't caught on yet.
So in order to properly ring in the new year with the
President in office, we ask that you slip into some
comfortable footwear, throw on an Obama T, and learn Georgia
Griffin's fun and easy choreography.
GEORGIA GRIFFIN: Step, cross, and cross.
Step, shake, two, three, four.
Same thing on the other side.
Step--
FEMALE SPEAKER: The video breaks down the moves from the
front and the back, so you can Obama Slide whenever and
wherever you want to.
GEORGIA GRIFFIN: Three, four, piece of cake.
FEMALE SPEAKER: Imagine if you had the opportunity to travel
to all seven continents and dance on each one of them.
Connecticut native Matt Harding did just that, and he
has a video with over 33 million views to prove it.
Matt, a self-proclaimed deadbeat, decided to quit his
job and travel throughout Asia in 2003.
As a joke for his friend, he did the one dance move he
knows on camera.
And now, it's a dance that has been performed in over 70
countries around the world.
From India to Los Angeles to Zanzibar to Tonga, Matt has
made quite an impact with his jig.
After receiving hundreds of fan emails and letters, he
ventured back out into the world to begin dancing with
locals from around the globe.
Matt currently resides in Seattle with his
girlfriend and dog.
From Zack Snyder, the director behind the visually stunning
Watchmen and 300 comes a news story about a young girl who's
dream world provides the ultimate escape from her
darker reality.
The film is called Sucker Punch, and the cast is made up
of some of Hollywood's best young actresses including Abby
Cornish, Jena Malone, and Vanessa Hudgens.
Hellcats choreographer Paul Becker creates the moves for
the alternate reality, which we hear includes Jena Malone
sliding down a giant syringe.
He spent multiple months in Vancouver in 2009 working on
the big budget film and says that Sucker Punch will blow
audience's minds.
You can view the full trailer for the Warner Brothers film
on our channel page.
Sucker Punch is released on March 25.
