Powerball and the Wisconsin Lottery present: Know your baseball history!
This episode: The Seventh Inning Stretch.
Legend has it President William Howard Taft was a huge baseball fan.
But as much as he loved the game, he loved the vendors and their treats even more, especially the fairy floss — better known today as cotton candy.
By the middle of the seventh inning Taft was seen standing on his tiptoes with his arms stretched above his head like a giant man-baby trying to get the attention of a fairy floss vendor.
The crowd took note, and rose to join him—and the seventh inning stretch was born!
While that legend may be a bit off, folks really do look forward to stretching a couple bucks with the fun of $2 Powerball and its $40 million minimum jackpot!
Drawings occur every Wednesday and Saturday night, helping that jackpot grow to Taft-like proportions!
