This is a new ending to the sweetheart pattern that we taught you
in bronze I Latin. So if we show you the
first ending of the sweetheart, it’s this: two three, four and one,
two three, four and one, two three, four and one,
two three, a four and one, two three, a four and one,
two three, a four and one, two three, a four and one.
This is where the lady exits from the sweetheart
to go in front of the man, back to open facing position.
Now I want to show you a second ending like this:
I’m going to face the camera, we’ll do the second half of the sweetheart
going forward, coming back,
and now the new ending, two three, a four and one.
This is fan position. From the fan we can dance the hockey stick,
which was shown to you in the Bronze I tape.
How is that danced? We have this:
step one of the exit, back inside foot.
Step two I’m gonna replace forward onto my left,
leading the lady to cross right foot in front of left foot,
count three. Then I’m gonna dance cha cha cha
to my right side while the lady will turn and dance a back locking chasse
cha cha cha. I release hold,
end up in this hold in fan position. I’ll do that again.
Now lady’s in front of the man in shadow position.
We have back replace for man, across for lady.
Keep turning her and releasing hold. Cha cha one.
We’ll now dance this group, the sweetheart with the ending
to fan position and continue with the hockey stick,
so that gives you a good look at how this is used.
And we’ll dance it with music.
