In the name of Allah the most gracious the most merciful, Etekaaf is Sunnah
Are you going to do Etekaaf (stay at the masjid the last 10 days of Ramadan) this year?
Yeah ofcourse
What about work?
and hold off my training?
and leave my home?
Nooo, the sale this year in Ramadan after the revolution is awesome
Hey, what the?!!
What's Etekaaf?
It's some type of "fino" bread (joke)
Etekaaf, is that you read Qur'an, pray, do thikr (remembrance of Allah)
Eat, Drink, Sleep
And the most important thing is to take a shower....
Ofcourse, all of that, while staying at the Masjid
What? Leave my home, work and my life and stay at the masjid?
Why not, if Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) left the most important jobs.....
Dawah Managing the Islamic state affairs, visiting sick people
Even Jihad!!
He used to leave all of this and do Etekaaf
Etekaf is like the summer vacation
Don't you go every year.....
and leave you work, your home, and your worries
and all of that to spend the summer vacation?
Why? so you can loosen up, relax, enjoy yourself. So you can make some kind of refreshment to yourself
So you can go through the rest of the year with your work, right?
Etekaaf is something like that
Something like that
It's a very good opportunity, this time you spend with yourself in the last 10 days of Ramadan
It's like a training and a preparatory time for the next 11 months
I don't get it, so we're gonna leave the community and the renovation, and stay at the masjid?!!
Ofcourse not, but anyone who really wants to change the community around him, needs some time off on his own.
How did Newton, one of the biggest mechanics scientists, explore the gravity law?
He was wondering under a tree!!!
If you wish you can change, and be changed, and make something good to yourself, your family
your country, and your deen.....
You really need some time away from mayhem
No, you need to explain more
You're talking big here!!
I will explain to you.
Etekaaf was one of the most important steps in preparing Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) to be able to carry the message of Islam
The great amanah
He changed history
Peace be upon him
Ok ok, leave the "work" thing aside. I can do all of what you're saying but at home!!
Ofcourse not, there is a big difference...
The Etekaaf is an act of worship that's not like any other kind of worship.
It separates you (temporarily) from life pleasures that originally takes you away from god, and helps in achieving a pure relation with God And helps making a pure realtion between you and god
This is is a chance to achieve this pure and continuous realtion between you and God all mighty
How come?!!
I'll tell you how. You stay at the masjid, not concentrating in anything, except for pleaseing Allah and asking him forgiveness
and repenting to him, and clean your record with him.
And this is in a continuous manner. Etekaaf is like an Islamic camp held each year.
Ok I agree, but ummmm.... It's sunnah
Unfortunately when Iman (belief) started decreasing in our community, people started trying staying away from God's religion. And we started hearing things like........
It's not obligatory man, it's not necessary.
Even some scholars these days... Who are cool with anything. Say it's just a sunnah and you don't have to do it.
And they forgot the positive meaning of loving Prophet Muhammad (pbuh). Which is following him in his deeds.
Your following to Sunnah is the title of your love for the Propher (pbuh).
People limit their love for Prohpet Muhammad (pbuh) on the verbal perspective only.
One of the scholars said: "How strange people are?! How did they quit Etekaaf, while Prophet Muhammad somethings and left them sometimes,
but never has he left Etekaaf until he died"
And Prophet Muhammad said: "Whoever revives my sunnah loves me, and whoever loves me will be with me in paradise"
Angels are always asking Allah to forgive you, waiting between prayers in the masjid is rewarded as another prayer
Get to know some good company, and listen to some lessons.
If you're not going to do that in Ramadan, then when?
Truly, Etekaaf, is a chance for you to change, and all the people who have done Etekaaf know how much Etekaaf has changed them.
Ok? see you at the masjid. :D
Don't forget to share
or like
Or rating so you won't miss the reward
