CHESTERSEE: I'm really excited to meet my dance partner just
because I hope we have some really sensual, sexual dance
moves together.
BRINN NICOLE: Hi!
CHESTERSEE: Hi.
BRINN NICOLE: How are you?
CHESTERSEE: Good.
How's it going?
BRINN NICOLE: You look nice!
So D-trix tells me that I am paired with Chestersee and I'm
very, very happy about it.
I know who he is on YouTube.
[MUSIC--RIHANNA, "UMBRELLA"]
BRINN NICOLE: But with what I saw in Just Dance 4, I'm
wondering if maybe it was an act.
Like he was just trying not to give away his talents and make
you think that he can't dance or can't carry a rhythm.

If his clip in Just Dance 4 wasn't an act and that is his
best dancing, then it's going to be a challenge.
But I expect it.
Are you comfortable?
You look like you just came from a meeting.
CHESTERSEE: Yeah, [LAUGHS].
BRINN NICOLE: He doesn't really look like
he's here to dance.
CHESTERSEE: I was wearing this before I came here.
And then I came here still wearing this.
BRINN NICOLE: So--
CHESTERSEE: I'm trying to not look at the cameras, but I can
tell they're there.
BRINN NICOLE: I know.
It's OK.
CHESTERSEE: Yeah.
BRINN NICOLE: You're used to it.
CHESTERSEE: No.
BRINN NICOLE: You're recording!
CHESTERSEE: I honestly love what I do.
I am so blessed to be able to do what I love for work.
BRINN NICOLE: Do you have any dance experience?
CHESTERSEE: None.
BRINN NICOLE: None.
CHESTERSEE: I don't know what this dance thing is.
I don't know how that works.
BRINN NICOLE: Dance in general or the show?
CHESTERSEE: Yeah, dance.
BRINN NICOLE: Dance in general?
CHESTERSEE: Yeah.
BRINN NICOLE: OK.
CHESTERSEE: What is going through my mind right now is
whether or not she is going to be disappointed in me.
BRINN NICOLE: And with you, I really wanted to do something
that was more serious and sensual and acting.
CHESTERSEE: OK.
BRINN NICOLE: Uh huh.
Kind of like a "Twilight" scenario.
CHESTERSEE: Mm hmm.
BRINN NICOLE: Are you interested in
that world at all?
CHESTERSEE: Am I interested in the world of "Twilight"?
Not so much.
BRINN NICOLE: OK.
CHESTERSEE: And not really so much with vampires either.
BRINN NICOLE: OK.
CHESTERSEE: But that doesn't deter me from being excited
about doing something in that genre.
BRINN NICOLE: OK.
CHESTERSEE: Vampires?
Bring it on.
Cool.
I'm into it.
OK, I become a vampire.
BRINN NICOLE: Yes.
CHESTERSEE: OK.
BRINN NICOLE: OK.
So I have three tricks in mind that I want to do for this
performance.
CHESTERSEE: Tricks?
BRINN NICOLE: Tricks.
CHESTERSEE: OK, I'm supposed to--
BRINN NICOLE: Like partner tricks.
CHESTERSEE: OK.
BRINN NICOLE: Mm hmm.
CHESTERSEE: What ethnicity are you?
BRINN NICOLE: Chilean and Russian.
CHESTERSEE: Oh, OK.
BRINN NICOLE: The talking pretty much
consumed the whole rehearsal.
We just kept talking and talking and talking.
CHESTERSEE: Actually I have a little Native American in me.
BRINN NICOLE: I would have never guessed Filipino.
Our rehearsal does kind of feel like how a first date
talk would go.
CHESTERSEE: Who do people say you look like?
BRINN NICOLE: But this is a dance rehearsal.
It's not a first date.
CHESTERSEE: Do I have to do anything today?
BRINN NICOLE: You have to do them.
CHESTERSEE: Let me just watch.
I'm better at watching.
BRINN NICOLE: The whole dance is actually partnered, so I
can't do it without you.
I think Chester might be scared to try to dance.
CHESTERSEE: What if--
just bear with me for a second.
BRINN NICOLE: OK.
CHESTERSEE: What if I'm the human that's voyeuristically
watching the vampire?
BRINN NICOLE: But that won't work 'cause
then you're not dancing.
You can't talk me out of this.
So I had to just run through some of the moments.
There's three things I want to teach you trick wise.
CHESTERSEE: Trick wise, OK.
Let's do it.
Tricks.
BRINN NICOLE: If I was you, you would come here with your
hands like this.
So I'm here.
CHESTERSEE: So boom, and then--
BRINN NICOLE: Whoom.
Exactly.
I am starting to see the try, and the will.
And it's making me feel so much better.
And whoo and whoo.
Yes, exactly.
Perfect.
CHESTERSEE: Ah.
BRINN NICOLE: That was good!
CHESTERSEE: Good.
OK.
BRINN NICOLE: So we knocked out one already.
So after I come here--
CHESTERSEE: This is a lot of responsibility on my part.
BRINN NICOLE: It is, but I'm trusting you.
CHESTERSEE: I wouldn't, though.
BRINN NICOLE: I do, though.
CHESTERSEE: OK.
BRINN NICOLE: [LAUGHS]
CHESTERSEE: All right.
BRINN NICOLE: And [INAUDIBLE], exactly.
Yeah.
CHESTERSEE: I did it.
I held her.
I spun around.
Didn't drop her on her face.
Set her down.
Kept my balance.
Was it graceful?
No.
But you know, baby steps.
Ugh!
BRINN NICOLE: That's perfect.
CHESTERSEE: We have one more trick, right?
BRINN NICOLE: The last one isn't really hard at all.
CHESTERSEE: OK.
BRINN NICOLE: Like that.
Just tight.
CHESTERSEE: This?
BRINN NICOLE: Mm hmm.
And then you would lift me up high enough
where I can do a kick.
CHESTERSEE: OK.
BRINN NICOLE: And then you would just drop me.
The real--
CHESTERSEE: It's like the Heimlich maneuver dance move.
BRINN NICOLE: Kind of.
Except prettier.
I hope we get through this whole thing.
Eight, ooh, ha!
Exactly.
You could do it stronger and quicker and then higher.
Stronger, quicker, higher.
CHESTERSEE: Just better.
BRINN NICOLE: Uh huh.
Just overall better.
CHESTERSEE: I know three tricks.
I know what they are.
Can I perform them at a high level?
No.
Will I get there?
Probably not.
But that's not the point.
It's about the journey.
Miley Cyrus said it best.
It's the climb.
Is that better?
BRINN NICOLE: Kind of.
How do you feel about it?
CHESTERSEE: It's cool.
Yeah, it's great.
BRINN NICOLE: You like it?
CHESTERSEE: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
I like it.
BRINN NICOLE: Does the storyline make sense?
CHESTERSEE: Yeah, totally.
BRINN NICOLE: There wasn't a struggle or a worry for me
about the moments.
But you could feel passion for something when it's there, and
I wasn't feeling the passion for the dance.
CHESTERSEE: I don't have a passion.
I do not want to go up on stage.
I'm not that guy.
BRINN NICOLE: I'm so excited for our final performance.
I really am.
CHESTERSEE: No, you're not.
BRINN NICOLE: I really am.
CHESTERSEE: No, you're not.
BRINN NICOLE: No, I swear to God.
CHESTERSEE: No, you're a liar.
BRINN NICOLE: No, I'm not!
CHESTERSEE: You wish you had a real dancer.
BRINN NICOLE: No, I love the challenge!
I have a lot of--
CHESTERSEE: Oh, so now you're saying I'm a challenge?
And now you just felt my pec!
What is happening on this show?
We're going to make great dance partners, I think.
Because she's really good and I'm not.
So we'll be like yin and yang.
It will just even itself out into perfection.
BRINN NICOLE: Thank you much!
CHESTERSEE: Mwa!
BRINN NICOLE: I'm really excited for rehearsal.
CHESTERSEE: I am too.
It's gonna be fun.
BRINN NICOLE: I am too.
