Jonathan Ross, Senior Consultant Personal Training: This is an ACE exclusive ab exercise.
I've never shown this anywhere, so this is the first chance you'll have to see it.
It's a medicine ball V-up where we switch the medicine ball from the upper body to the lower body.
To do it, you'll need about a 4- to 6-pound medicine ball. You'll need some very strong abdominals.
And you'll also want to bring your coordination with you.
So, we take the medicine ball. We lie down, face up.
You'll start to learn this by starting with the arms and legs straight and coming up and just tapping the ball on the shins right above the knee.
Now, to do the full exercise, we're gonna hand off the ball and I'm going to just rest the ball on the legs right as the legs begin to lower.
So, that's where the coordination comes in.
A picture's worth a thousand words, so let me show you.
And after you're done, it's so hard, the medicine ball can be your pillow. You have a nice break.
You get to play catch with your upper body and your lower body and work on a little bit of eye-hand coordination as well.
That's the medicine ball V-up. Enjoy!
