How to Make A "Death By Chocolate" Cake : Adding Raspberry Glaze to "Death By Chocolate" Cake

Hi I'm Karen for Expert Village, while our cake is cooling we're going to prepare a raspberry
glaze that gets spread in between the layers. We're going to use a all fruit raspberry preserve,
1/4 cup, I measure that right into that, this has seeds in it and I'm going to do is warm
it up in the microwave and then we'll strain the seeds out, so we don't want the seeds
in there, so 1/4 cup of raspberry preserves and I'm going to add a little bit of alcohol,
and this is a raspberry liquor, you can also use brandy or rum or anything that you like
to add a little bit of flavor. Just mix that together and we'll warm that microwave. We'll
just take that out and we will just pour it through a strainer to get rid of the seeds.
Just stir it around there and that will give it a nice flavor that will just soak into
the cake a little bit and have a nice raspberry flavor. You can use apricot if you like or
any flavor filing. Then you just discard the extra seeds.
