Today we will make aloo masala sabzi.
Let's see what all ingredients are required for making aloo masala sabzi.
Potato - 4 (400 grams approx)
Tomatoes - 4-5 (250 grams)
Cumin seeds - 1/2 tsp
Asafoetida - 1 pinch
Red chilly powder - less then 1/4 tsp
Salt - 1 tsp
Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
Coriander powder - 1.5 tsp
Mango powder - 1/4 tsp
Garam masala - 1/4 tsp
Ginger - 1 inch piece (grated)
Green coriander leaves - 1 tbsp (finely chopped)
Green chilly - 2 (finely chopped)
Oil - for making sabzi
Preheat kadai and add 2 tbsp oil in it.
When oil gets heated add asafoetida,cuminseeds,turmeric powder, coriander powder,
green chill and ginger in the kadai.
Saute all ingredients for few minutes.
Now add tomato and green chilly paste.
Saute for 3-4 minutes until oil starts floating on the surface.
Masala is now ready;now add potatoes in the masala.
Now crush the potaoes and add into the masala.
Always crush the potatoes first and then add for having good texture of the sabzi.
Saute the sabzi for 2 minutes.
Now add water in the sabzi.
Add 2.5-3 cup of water. Keep the gravy little thick.
Cover the pan and let it boil for 4-5 minutes.
When gravy starts boiling add salt and mango powder.
Aloo masala sabzi is ready; now turn off the gas.
Also add garam masala powder and green coriander leaves.
Always prefer adding garam masala and coriander in the end so that the aroma stays for long.
Spicy and delectable aloo masala sabzi is ready.
Serve steaming hot aloo masala sabzi with chapatti,parantha,poori, bewadi poori or kachori.
