Hi, it's Buddy Broadway.
I'm here on an important mission
to find what grace is all about in this somewhat rainy place.
In this church. In this whole stadium.
Holly Hollywood is not here because she had a dentist appointment
with a doctor and I don't know his name.
But I have to ask this Peace Bell what grace is all about.
What's grace all about?
The bells say that grace is all about...
I cant' wait for the bells to answer. This is a race.
I need people to talk to me and find out what grace is really all about.
When have you had grace in your life?
Watching other people walk to church, too, and we kind of join up and walk together
or I see them in the distance. Coming to church.
Just coming to church I experience grace.
I've found that when someone at Peace Church says, "How are you?"
they really want to know.
And if need be, they'll go where you are to ask you, "How are you?"
And if they can't go where you are, they'll pray for you.
The biggest time is when the youth from this church
and a new family who didn't know anybody here at church
showed up at my house and built a ramp
to make our house handicap accessible.
To make my front door handicap accessible.
I was in a wheelchair at the time.
And it was just an amazing thing.
And you think grace is about...
Smiles at the church or the sunlight coming through the trees,
or a colorful leaf in the fall landing in the right spot right in front of me.
The small things, not the giant things any more.
The thing that comes most to mind about grace at Peace Church
is people's openness and welcoming spirit.
Grace means to me unconditional love.
I know that Peace brings that to all people.
Where's that music coming from?
I think it might be the Peace Church youth group.
Everywhere I go, God is there.
Everyone I touch has a gift to share.
Everywhere I go, God is there.
I offer you my grace 'cause love is in this place.
God is there.
If I traveled far away
to a land unknown,
could not speak the language,
feeling utterly alone.
Could I stretch out my hand to you
and find a language we both knew?
Would we discover something new
or find it's all familiar?
Everywhere I go, God is there. (God is there.)
Everyone I touch has a gift to share. (Gift to share.)
Everywhere I go, God is there.
I offer you my grace 'cause love is in this place.
God is there.
What if I could jump right in
and see things through your eyes?
What if all the things you feel
came as no surprise?
'Cause I have felt the same way, too.
Struggled with what's right and true.
Asked the questions that you do.
We're not so different, are we?
Everywhere I go, God is there. (God is there.)
Everyone I touch has a gift to share. (Gift to share.)
Everywhere I go, God is there.
I offer you my grace 'cause love is in this place.
God is there.
What if I could talk to God
Tell her what it's like
living where there's pain and war,
poverty and strife?
In this river of my fear,
the spirit whispers in my ear.
Suddenly, it all comes clear.
Love is always with me.
Everywhere I go, God is there. (God is there.)
Everyone I touch has a gift to share. (Gift to share.)
Everywhere I go, God is there.
I offer you my grace 'cause love is in this place.
God is there.
And I think grace is a relationship between people.
It's the feeling that you have when people are compassionate.
And when people are inclusive.
When people care about life. Care about our creation.
Tim and the girls and I are so grateful to be part of this people and this place.
It has been a place of grace for us.
I hope that it has been for you as we do the work of being the people of God.
Thank you for being part of this amazing grace.
Hope you can share the grace you've found in your life
and consider what you can give as we continue to build this community
that opens doors, builds peace, praises God.
Wow. So that is what grace is really all about.
And it's many more things. I love being in Peace Church.
It's a wonderful place full of games, fun, prayers.
I'm happy to be in Peace Church. Aren't you?
