Hi, I'm Beverly from Geek & Sundry.
I am the community manager.
So you may have seen me at any of our other events.
Today we're here at the AOL Building in Palo Alto having a
really cool event with Days of Wonder.
And I have the founders of Days of Wonder right here.
We have Mark and Eric.
MARK KAUFMANN: Hi.
ERIC HAUTEMONT: Hello.
BEVERLY REYNOLDS: They created, if you've seen the
awesome episodes of TableTop for Small World and Ticket to
Ride, those are their games.
I guess I'll see you guys in there.
I'm going to go play a few games.

MARK KAUFMANN: Outside of a really big event like Gen Con,
I don't think I've seen this many people playing board
games in one room.
So, great.
A hand to all of you for coming to play.
Thank you.
We appreciate it.
We want to acknowledge and thank the
folks from Geek & Sundry--
[CHEERING AND APPLAUSE]
MARK KAUFMANN: --who are helping co-sponsor the event.

BEVERLY REYNOLDS: What is your favorite thing about playing
with new people?
MALE SPEAKER: Being able to be goofy and let them see your
goofiness and let them laugh so that when they go home,
they can say, remember those goofy people?
Let's never talk to them again.
[LAUGHTER]
MALE SPEAKER: I played a lot of different stuff.
Like, I played Small World.
And I played Ticket to Ride.
So I played a lot of [INAUDIBLE].
MALE SPEAKER: I sometimes watch TableTop at work.
And one of the days, someone snuck up behind me and caught
me watching it.
And I thought I was going to get into some kind of trouble.
But instead she said, oh, what episode is that?
She watches TableTop too.
And so does the entire IT department that sits right
next to me.
MARK KAUFMANN: When we first found out about it, it was
like, this is interesting.
I wonder how big it could be.
Once it was up, and people could view it, and the
response that we got was phenomenal.
Both from our user base, people who knew Small World
and were really excited about it, and they would spread the
word on Facebook, on Twitter, and all kinds of places.
[MUSIC PLAYING]
BEVERLY REYNOLDS: Give you this copy of Ticket to Ride.
MALE SPEAKER: Oh, wow.
Are you serious?
That's awesome.
Thank you.
BEVERLY REYNOLDS: Have fun with your son.
Play with everyone you know.
MALE SPEAKER: Thank you.
Yeah, yeah.
BEVERLY REYNOLDS: Awesome.
MALE SPEAKER: We'll play tonight.
BEVERLY REYNOLDS: Yay!
MALE SPEAKER: Thank you.
Thank you.
