Hi! My name is Denise Bennett and I'm here on behalf of Expert Village. These are persimmons.
Now, persimmon. I'm actually new to them. They are a bit deceiving. When you think that
they're perfect, which is that they're giving a little bit. This isn't ready. What you want
is them to be really mushy. Like this right here isn't ready at all. It's beautiful, but
it's not ready. When it's ready it's going to be really soft. When you think it's about
to be thrown out in the trash, it's perfect. This one is close. This one is kind of close.
This one is probably perfect today or tomorrow. See its coloring. It's almost looking completely
spent and it wouldn't be a good one, but it actually is. These are just deceiving. They
look like they're ready for the garbage and they're actually getting nice and soft and
very sweet. I actually need to be taught about these because I saw them when I came home
to my household and that's not any good and it was perfect. You just need to learn how
to pick it. This is probably coming across the state, so it's not quite what we want.
As I said, I live in the desert, so we do the best we can out here. You want it a little
bit more firm than this. Look how beautiful the inside leaves are though. Those are beautiful
inside. We just lost a few on the outside, that's all. This is nice. Romaine is a really
healthy lettuce. I like to use this. Romaine and red leaf; those are my two favorites.
Iceberg is basically as waste of time. It has some crunch to it, but that's about it.
