Transcript:
It seems to me sometimes, that soldiers
Who never returned from the bloody battlefields
Did not at some point lay down in our soil
But turned into snow-white cranes
And ever since those times long ago
They fly and offer us their voice
Is it not because, so often, and with burning sadness
We are silent, when looking at the skies?
They fly, they fly, about the heavens, tired
They fly in the mist of the end of the day
And in their flock there is a small gap
Perhaps this is the place for me
The day shall come, and with a flock of cranes
I'll fly in the same hazy mist
And from under the heavens I'll cry out
To all of you whom I left on earth
It seems to me sometimes, that soldiers
Who never returned from the bloody battlefields
Did not at some point lay down in our soil
But turned into snow-white cranes
