Transcript:

DOMINIC "D-TRIX" SANDOVAL: Welcome to Dance Showdown.
Last season, our YouTube-studded cast broke the
ice, bringing the moves, the laughs, and the best dance
routines they could muster, with WhatsUpELLE,
WoodysGamerTag, ItsKingsleyBitch, and
SeaNanners making to the final four.
And only one took home the prize of $25,000.
This season, we've got 12 new contestants and four amazing
dancers that are hopefully going change these YouTubers
into overall performers, and a chance to win up to $100,000.
And not only do they got to impress you guys at home, but
now they got to impress our judges.
Former member of 'NSync, Joey Fatone.
JOEY FATONE: I'm looking for that triple threat.
If you can't dance all amazingly, but you know what,
you may have the greatest personality, I'm going to
definitely count that in there.
DOMINIC "D-TRIX" SANDOVAL: Celebrity choreographer,
Laurieann Gibson.
LAURIEANN GIBSON: I need you to execute the routine to the
best of your ability.
Get though it, and tell a story, and smile, and have
fun, and stay in rhythm.
I'm looking for someone to give their all.
DOMINIC "D-TRIX" SANDOVAL: With internet
sensations Dave Days.
DAVE DAYS: I'm just expecting, I guess, a cool dance routine
with like yeah, performance and surprises.
DOMINIC "D-TRIX" SANDOVAL: Shane Dawson.
SHANE DAWSON: I'm not looking for whether or not they can do
a Crump dance move right.
I really want to find people who have charisma.
DOMINIC "D-TRIX" SANDOVAL: And Ryan Higa.
RYAN HIGA: I'm looking, really, just to see a
personality and seeing something
more than just a dancer.
DOMINIC "D-TRIX" SANDOVAL: $100,000?
Are you kidding me?
[SHRIEKING]
Let the games begin.
[MUSIC PLAYING - THEME SONG]
DOMINIC "D-TRIX" SANDOVAL: Chestersee.
CHESTERSEE: If you're looking to waste time, I'm your guy.
I have no problem staying online as
long as I have a voice.
DOMINIC "D-TRIX" SANDOVAL: PrankvsPrank.
JESSE: How we got started on YouTube was
kind of like a mistake.
We would never thought that a prank war would be so
entertaining to millions of people.
DOMINIC "D-TRIX" SANDOVAL: Exoticjess.
EXOTICJESS: Now I've switched more to like vlogging, Q&A,
vlogging, sketch, vlogging--
DOMINIC "D-TRIX" SANDOVAL: ONLYUSEmeBLADE.
ONLYUSEmeBLADE: I think my channel's popular because
people are interested in the knife-only aspect of playing
Call of Duty.
But then once they're there, they realize that I'm more of
a chill, relaxed guy.
DOMINIC "D-TRIX" SANDOVAL: BrittaniLouiseTaylor.
BRITTANILOUISETAYLOR: My YouTube channel is mostly
parodies, and sketch comedy, and art videos, and kind of,
like, whatever the heck I want.
DOMINIC "D-TRIX" SANDOVAL: ChimneySwift11.
CHIMNEYSWIFT11: I do minecraft video game
commentaries, mostly.
I do some other games as well.
Slurp.
DOMINIC "D-TRIX" SANDOVAL: Alphacat.
ALPHACAT: I'm most known for my impression of the President
Barack Obama.
And aside from that, musical parodies.
DOMINIC "D-TRIX" SANDOVAL: ScreenTeam.
SCREEN TEAM BOY: We do geeky music parodies--
SCREEN TEAM GIRL: --which we call geekadies.
SCREEN TEAM BOY: Our hobbies happen to
be what we're doing--
SCREEN TEAM GIRL: Yeah.
SCREEN TEAM BOY: --as Screen Team.
DOMINIC "D-TRIX" SANDOVAL: StilaBabe09.
STILABABE09: I make beauty videos and fashion videos and
tips and tricks for young girls on how to feel confident
in their own skin.
DOMINIC "D-TRIX" SANDOVAL: Andrewgarcia.
ANDREWGARCIA: I made to the top nine of "American Idol."
I'm glad I'm a clown y'all and dancer.
DOMINIC "D-TRIX" SANDOVAL: Meghanrosette.
MEGHANROSETTE: I gravitated towards making beauty videos,
because I've been a shopaholic since I was probably three.
DOMINIC "D-TRIX" SANDOVAL: And MissHannahMinx.
MISHANNAHMINX: I've studied for a long time in Japan.
I learned so much Japanese.
I'm also kind of from Japan.

LAUREN FRODERMAN: My name is Lauren Froderman.
I've been in "So You Think You Can Dance," which I was winner
for the seventh season.
BRYNN NICOLE: My name is Brynn Nicole.
I just got off a two-year tour with Snoop Dogg.
ANZE SKRUBE: My name is Anze.
I've already been blessed to work with Usher, dance on the
show, "American Idol," "Dancing with the Stars."
MIKE SONG: My name is Mike Song.
I used to dance for a group called Kaba Modern.
We were on the first season of "American's Best Dance Crew."
We finished third to the JabbaWockeeZ.
DOMINIC "D-TRIX" SANDOVAL: Right now, I'm bringing in my
four dancers to see who they're dancing with.
All right, guys, have a seat.
So we got a fresh batch of new YouTubers.
You guys want to take a look at them?
TOGETHER: Yes.
DOMINIC "D-TRIX" SANDOVAL: First up, ChimneySwift11.
Huge gamer online.
So let's see what he can do.
BRYNN NICOLE: Hey.
DOMINIC "D-TRIX" SANDOVAL: Oh snap.
Good.
BRYNN NICOLE: Oh.
He's trying, he's trying.
DOMINIC "D-TRIX" SANDOVAL: Ooh, there you go.
BRYNN NICOLE: He's not even looking.
LAUREN FRODERMAN: Nope.
DOMINIC "D-TRIX" SANDOVAL: Yeah, I know, right.
It's like he knows the game already.
He has a nice smile.
BRYNN NICOLE: He does.
LAUREN FRODERMAN: He does.
DOMINIC "D-TRIX" SANDOVAL: Yeah, OK.
So the person to get ChimneySwift11, Brynn, you
have received a gamer.
LAUREN FRODERMAN: Whoo.
BRYNN NICOLE: Yay.
DOMINIC "D-TRIX" SANDOVAL: Yeah.
BRYNN NICOLE: Get out of my way.
I'm excited.
He looks like he's fun.
He smiled a lot.
ChimneySwift also looked like he had he maybe had a little
shell that he needs to break out of.
I noticed that he hardly looked up at the camera, which
lets me know he's probably a little shy.
And there's something that needs to
get broken down there.
DOMINIC "D-TRIX" SANDOVAL: All right, guys.
Next up we got PrankvsPrank.
Basically the name speaks for itself.
So let's see what they can do.
[MUSIC - CARLY RAE JEPSON, "CALL ME MAYBE"]
BRYNN NICOLE: Oh good song.
Good song.
LAUREN FRODERMAN: He's really cute.
He looks like he's singing--
MIKE SONG: Oh!
LAUREN FRODERMAN: He's serious about it.

DOMINIC "D-TRIX" SANDOVAL: He's really trying to--
look at his legs.
LAUREN FRODERMAN: He's so focused.

DOMINIC "D-TRIX" SANDOVAL: All right.
OK.
The person to receive PrankvsPrank, Lauren!
LAUREN FRODERMAN: Yay.
My first impressions of PrankvsPrank, he has the
Jersey Shore look.
So he has swag.
I'm thinking along those lines of doing something sporty and
something like where he can be a cool guy.
DOMINIC "D-TRIX" SANDOVAL: All right.
So this next one is BrittaniLouiseTaylor.
Let's take a look and see what she can do.

TOGETHER: Whoa!
Awww.

LAUREN FRODERMAN: She's into it.
DOMINIC "D-TRIX" SANDOVAL: She's taking up a lot of room.
LAUREN FRODERMAN: Aw, she's cute.
DOMINIC "D-TRIX" SANDOVAL: Yeah, OK.
Not too bad, right?
LAUREN FRODERMAN: I thought she was great.
I thought she was really sassy.
I liked how she kind of didn't even pay attention to what was
going on with the screen.
She was doing her own thing.
Well, Mike, I'm glad you're excited.
Because you have received
BrittaniLouiseTaylor Louise this week.
LAUREN FRODERMAN: Congratulations.
MIKE SONG: So I was watching BrittaniLouiseTaylor, and
she's the only one out of all the contestants that's
actually using the whole room.
Most of the contestants are kind of just dancing in place.
But she's like all running around all crazy.
So just off of that, it's pretty exciting to watch her.
DOMINIC "D-TRIX" SANDOVAL: OK, Anze, so that leaves you with
the last of the Mohicans.
Let's watch exoticjess get down.
GIRLS TOGETHER: Oh, she's cute.
DOMINIC "D-TRIX" SANDOVAL: Oh yeah.
LAUREN FRODERMAN: Aw, I like her.
DOMINIC "D-TRIX" SANDOVAL: Another one really trying to
play the game.
LAUREN FRODERMAN: She's doing the moves.
DOMINIC "D-TRIX" SANDOVAL: And she got a good song.
LAUREN FRODERMAN: I like her facials.
DOMINIC "D-TRIX" SANDOVAL: Yeah, OK!
Not too bad.
BRYNN NICOLE: I think she'll be a good student.
No, she was really, really cute.
She had a great personality.
You could already see it.
She's beautiful.
I'd watch her.
I think Anze's going to have some fun with her.
ANZE SKRUBE: I'll be dancing with exoticjess.
I'm excited because she looks like she's a lot of fun.
She actually looks like she has a little bit of dance
experience.
So that's good.
DOMINIC "D-TRIX" SANDOVAL: All right, guys, you saw who
you're dancing with.
Are you guys amped and excited.
TOGETHER: Yes.
BRYNN NICOLE: I'm excited.
DOMINIC "D-TRIX" SANDOVAL: All right.
Let's make these YouTubers performers, all right.
Bring it in!
Season two on three.
Ready, one, two, three.
TOGETHER: Season Two!
DOMINIC "D-TRIX" SANDOVAL: Yeah!
Four new YouTubers, four dancers, another
week, y'all get ready.
Check it out.
Whoo!
What the heck are you guys doing?
MIKE SONG: I love them.
LAUREN FRODERMAN: They're all good.
DOMINIC "D-TRIX" SANDOVAL: I know, they're all like really
trying and then you guys are--

LAUREN FRODERMAN: Hi!
What?
JESSE: Oh yeah.
This happened.
LAUREN FRODERMAN: No!
Are you serious?
At first, you know, I'm thinking this is a joke.
This is a joke.
But then his face is so serious.
What happened?
JESSE: We were in a club and I was trying to
dance a little bit.
And I rolled my ankle.
What should we do?
LAUREN FRODERMAN: We can always play.
JESSE: All right, I'm joking, I'm joking.
LAUREN FRODERMAN: God, I knew it.
Man.
I can't be pranked on.
I'm too gullible.
All right, so I'm thinking, you know, basketball.
JESSE: The whole dance is basketballs?
LAUREN FRODERMAN: Not the whole dance.
Like the beginning and end.
JESSE: Initially, when Lauren told me about the basketball
part, I was kind of like, um, I don't know if I really liked
it that much.
JEANA: Very good.
JESSE: All right.
Do you mind--
JEANA: Yeah I know.
JESSE: --if we did--
OK.
JEANA: Gotta upload to the blog.
JESSE: Need a little dance-- yeah.
JEANA: The reason that I'm not dancing is because I don't
really feel too comfortable dancing.
I never thought I was a good dancer.
And especially to be solo, even though I would have a
dance partner, but to be standing there alone by
myself, I don't think I'd feel too comfortable.
LAUREN FRODERMAN: Yeah, cause you know--
JESSE: Why didn't I do this before?
LAUREN FRODERMAN: Jesse's a little bit addicted to looking
at himself in the mirror.
It's funny.
He's really digging looking at himself dancing in the mirror.
And I love that.
JESSE: She said that?
I didn't do that.
It's messed up, Lauren.
I was not checking myself out, Lauren.
I moved the mirrors closer, because I kept
hopping out and I need--
I need help.
It was helping me.
Checking myself out.
I'm just-- all right.
CHIMNEYSWIFT11: So I'm about to walk in.
And I don't even know who my partner is.
And I'm really, really nervous.
BRYNN NICOLE: Hello!
ChimneySwift, what do you want to be called?
CHIMNEYSWIFT11: ChimneySwift.
BRYNN NICOLE: ChimneySwift.
CHIMNEYSWIFT11: How are you?
BRYNN NICOLE: Good, how are you?
CHIMNEYSWIFT11: Good.
Meeting Brynn for the first time, she was really sweet and
really nice.
And I was happy to meet her.
BRYNN NICOLE: I want to get to know you a little bit.
Ooh, I like your shoes.
CHIMNEYSWIFT11: Oh, thank you.
BRYNN NICOLE: ChimneySwift really has his
own cool little vibe.
He has a lot of social skills, very personable.
He's everything I kind of didn't expect.
CHIMNEYSWIFT11: One of the reasons I decided to come as
well was both my mom and my fiancee said that it was kind
of like that once in a lifetime opportunity for me.
As my channel has grown, this is probably the coolest
opportunity that I've gotten so far.
Getting invited to do something like this was kind
of an honor, actually.
BRYNN NICOLE: Yeah.
I'm so happy.
He seemed so light-filled and friendly and aware and ready
and excited.
I was thinking maybe something like secret agent.
And we have guns, but fake guns.
CHIMNEYSWIFT11: I'm cool with that.
BRYNN NICOLE: Our hands will be the guns.
CHIMNEYSWIFT11: All right.
Having the dance be really into a sort of a secret agent
theme is a really good fit.
BRYNN NICOLE: I'm kind of gonna be
the sexy secret agent.
CHIMNEYSWIFT11: OK.
BRYNN NICOLE: OK.
So I'm going to come out booty first.
CHIMNEYSWIFT11: All right.
BRYNN NICOLE: Because that might help us win.
Boom and boom and boom and boom.
Then from here, we'll go back to back.
CHIMNEYSWIFT11: OK, so I'm going to step like this?
BRYNN NICOLE: Exactly, except you start walking this way.
CHIMNEYSWIFT11: I can be a perfectionist sometimes, so I
want to make sure that I do as well as
this dance as possible.
BRYNN NICOLE: Good job.
That looks really good.
CHIMNEYSWIFT11: OK.
BRYNN NICOLE: Yes.
So the goal is for me to get straight up.
CHIMNEYSWIFT11: And at first, I was kind of scared and I
didn't know how much strength I would have to be using.
And I realized pretty quickly that it was something that was
totally different than anything I've done before.
BRYNN NICOLE: Bend down, bend your knees a little bit.
This is very sexual, I'm sorry.
One, two, [SQUEAL].
Good job.
Except I got it bad.
Ooh, that looks really--
CHIMNEYSWIFT11: I don't think my fiancee's going to be too
worried about that.
If she is--
[BUZZER]
CHIMNEYSWIFT11: --I'll have to go home and reassure her that
there's nothing going on.
BRYNN NICOLE: Do you like dancing so far?
CHIMNEYSWIFT11: Yeah, this is fun.
I hope she's not mad.

BRYNN NICOLE: Better?
I didn't realize that the first move I was going to
start him off with was going to be such an intense one.
But I think he took it like a champ.
BRITTANILOUISETAYLOR: I am about to meet my partner.
And I'm a little nervous.
But I'm excited.
I've been waiting long enough.
It's just time, like show him to me already.
Hi.
MIKE SONG: Hello.
How are you?
BRITTANILOUISETAYLOR: I'm Brittani.
MIKE SONG: Mike.
Nice to meet you.
BRITTANILOUISETAYLOR: Nice to meet you.
I'm telling Mike about my YouTube channel
and my style of videos.
And I think he's figured out pretty
quickly that I'm a dork.
So I think he's going to like pull on that and create a
routine around it.
MIKE SONG: Are there any kind of styles of dance that you've
seen that you've been like, I want to dance like that?
BRITTANILOUISETAYLOR: Hip hop.
MIKE SONG: So I'm thinking that this theme could be maybe
exactly that.
Because the song is kind of ghetto.
BRITTANILOUISETAYLOR: [GASPS]
Yay.
MIKE SONG: The song is called "Checking my Fresh." Maybe we
can do something like--
something along the lines of bringing
out your inner ghetto.
BRITTANILOUISETAYLOR: I like it.
So it's geeky to ghetto.
MIKE SONG: Yes.
BRITTANILOUISETAYLOR: I like it.
MIKE SONG: She was saying, am I going to go
from geek to ghetto?
And we're like, yeah.
Let's this take that route.
So step forward, then step back.
The signature move that I'm doing with Brittani this week
is the monastery.
Then step forward.
BRITTANILOUISETAYLOR: I think I don't understand why the
monastery is called the monastery.
Because when I think monastery, I think--
[CHORAL SOUND]
BRITTANILOUISETAYLOR: It's like, yeah.
Backing up.
MIKE SONG: Yeah.
[RHYTHMIC NOISES]
Cool.
BRITTANILOUISETAYLOR: Think I got it.
MIKE SONG: She's just really honest, and lets her
character out there.
She doesn't have any walls up.
And she's willing.
She knows she's not the most talented dancer.
But she knows that she has to work for it.
BRITTANILOUISETAYLOR: I entered this competition
because I want to learn to dance.
I came from a small town.
There weren't opportunities to learn.
And I just jumped at it.
JESSICA: So I'm here.
Day one, Dance Showdown.
I get to meet my partner.
I walk in and I see this guy.
And he's very hip hop.
And he's like urban field.
And he's got like a vest on and nice kicks.
Oh my god.
What's his name?
It's not Andre.
Oh my god, I called him Andre so many times.
I feel like such a jerk.
Hi.
ANZE SKRUBE: Hey.
JESSICA: Hi.
Jess.
ANZE SKRUBE: How you doing?
JESSICA: Nice to meet you.
ANZE SKRUBE: Anze.
She's so hot.
She is attractive.

No, really, she's lots of fun and very entertaining.
JESSICA: I'm really excited, kind of nervous.
And when I'm nervous, I'm like I have to pee.
ANZE SKRUBE: What makes you nervous?
JESSICA: You're a professional dancer.
I'm not.
ANZE SKRUBE: Exoticjess is going to have
to not get too nervous.
I just want her to enjoy her performance.
JESSICA: OK, you're a good dancer.
So what aren't you good at?
Do you cook?
ANZE SKRUBE: I'm not a good cook.
But I cook a little bit.
JESSICA: Oh, see, that's where--
I cook good.
ANZE SKRUBE: Ooh.
JESSICA: And I cook a lot.
You'll teach me dancing--
ANZE SKRUBE: Deal.
JESSICA: And I'll teach you how to make a European dish.
Pita and hummus.
He's a nice guy.
I'm not going to hit on him.
I'm not going to hit on him.
I'm not.
I want to do the show, because I have a 14-year-old daughter.
I'm going to get her braces and two years
to a private school.
The move is clicking with me not so well.
My feet don't want to do the move.
My bits don't coordinate well with my brain.
ANZE SKRUBE: Do you remember that dance scene from the
movie "The Mask?"
JESSICA: Yes, with Cameron Diaz?
ANZE SKRUBE: Exactly.
JESSICA: Sort of.
ANZE SKRUBE: Do you remember that seducive dance between
them and how he lifts her?
JESSICA: He lifts her around his body, right?
ANZE SKRUBE: Exactly.
That's what we're trying.
JESSICA: OK.
ANZE SKRUBE: It's about to be a cool, sexy, saucy routine.
So you'll start here.
Just so you imagine when you jump, I'll hold you
right here and then--
JESSICA: So I'm jumping and then landing this way.
I'm always afraid that I'll get dropped, because my
brother, my sister, and myself played that trust game when
we're were little.
I didn't get caught.
So I always have some trust issues.
ANZE SKRUBE: Ready?
JESSICA: Ready.
That way?
ANZE SKRUBE: Almost.
JESSICA: I'm so sorry.
Did that hurt you?
ANZE SKRUBE: Amazing, no.
JESSICA: I'm sorry.
We were flipping, jumping.
I'm being like spun, I'm doing, like, a spinny thing
around his body.
And I'm a lot stronger than I thought.
I didn't think I could stick my legs like that straight.
I always sucked at Twister.
But this is pretty good.
I'm really excited.
ANZE SKRUBE: Beautiful!
JESSICA: Better?
ANZE SKRUBE: Yay!
JESSICA: I'm trusting you.
That's good.

BRYNN NICOLE: Good.
Hold there.
Keep going and circle.
One, two, three, hop.
Perfect.
CHIMNEYSWIFT11: I'm having just a bit of a hard time.
I've never danced before, so coming into this I was really
nervous and kind of scared.
BRYNN NICOLE: Ow!
Bend.
One, two, three, four, perfect.
CHIMNEYSWIFT11: I just want to make sure that when the
performance comes, the dace can be as next to
perfect as it can be.
LAUREN FRODERMAN: Five six, seven, swipe.
Oh, no!
JESSE: It's definitely starting to be a challenge.
I can see like with the numbering and stuff.
So it's something we're going to have to work on.
LAUREN FRODERMAN: Five, six, wind up and swipe.
A-town, stomp.
A-town, stomp.
Great!
I like it.
JESSE: I'm killing it.
I'm killing it.
LAUREN FRODERMAN: You like it?
Whoo!
JESSE: That felt good that time.
BRITTANILOUISETAYLOR: We have props, and we have
choreography to learn.
And it's a lot.
And I'm really excited but I'm a little like, aah.
The moves, they look cool.
But they're challenging.
MIKE SONG: [RHYTHMIC GRUNTS].

DOMINIC "D-TRIX" SANDOVAL: Coming up on Dance Showdown.
LAURIEANN GIBSON: [SCREAMS]
I'm just teasing.
That's how real you were.
ONLYUSEmeBLADE: This isn't sweat.
This is actually passion.
SHANE DAWSON: My favorite part was when you were trying to
shoot her in the face.
STILEABABE09: Well, I did cheer for 3 and 1/2 years.
MIKE SONG: Now, that's awesome.
JOEY FATONE: It seemed like to me sometimes you were hiding
that she couldn't dance, or challenge her to dance.
FEMALE SPEAKER 1: So you're a dancer.
Or you used to be a dancer.
MALE SPEAKER: Long time ago.
But I still got my groove.
FEMALE SPEAKER 2: I'm a little nervous about the
whole pelvic thrust.
One, two, three.
I'm 19.
I'm getting on stage and pelvic thrusting?
RYAN HIGA: If I was watching the show as a viewer, I would
want to subscribe.
DOMINIC "D-TRIX" SANDOVAL: And it only gets better here on
Dance Showdown.
