Hey, I'm Keri Glassman, here with some quick and simple tips to help you feel just a little
bit better. Natural, organic foods are a great way to remove some of the unwanted chemicals
in your life. But if you spray down your kitchen with harsh chemicals, it’s almost like taking
a big step backwards. What’s the solution? Raid your fridge for natural cleaning supplies.
Things like white vinegar, lemon, even olive oil can be turned into alternatives to traditional
cleaning products, and will even save you money. When I am in doubt about how to clean
something, white vinegar is my usual go-to. I mix it with a little water and use it on
my floors, windows, shower doors, toilets, even as a drain cleaner. I always have lemons
at home. For cleaning, I squeeze a lemon into a spray bottle and wipe down my countertops.
It removes grease and can also be used as a bleaching agent on clothing to remove stains.
Bonus. Olive oil makes a great wood polish. Use it to return shine to dull or untreated
wood by combining three parts olive oil to one part vinegar or lemon juice. So remember:
Natural, inexpensive cleaning products are easy to make, easy to use, and will help you
spiff up your home and feel a little bit better.
