One-two-three-four! (Music) I’m Abhishek Sharma and I’m in the Yellowjackets and
I want to know where you’re from. I’m from Cleveland, Ohio. Atlanta, Georgia. Fort
Lee, New Jersey. I’m from Rochester. I’m from the Bronx, New York. Granbee, Connecticut.
Warsaw, New York. Houston, Texas. I’m from Long Island. Syracuse. I’m from Randolph,
Vermont. South Brunswick, New Jersey. I’m from Philadelphia. Rome, New York. I’m from
Minnesota. Hi, my name is Kathy and I’m an RA in Hollister 2 in Sue B. and I would
like to know what you plan to study. Biomedical Engineering. Neuroscience. Biomedical Engineering.
Computer Science. I’m thinking Brain and Cognitive Science. I’m going to be pre-med,
so probably biology. Biology, I’m doing an eight-year Med program here. What are you
studying this year? Math. I’m planning to do a dual-degree with the Eastman School for
classical guitar performance and neuroscience here at the College. I’m undecided but I’ll
probably end up somewhere in the social sciences, like political science or economics or something.
Psychology or whatever they’ll let me in to. Either biology or environmental science.
I’m really debating on a lot of different things. I don’t know, I guess I’ll just
feel my way through. Hi guys, my name is Jordan, I’m a D’Lion on Morgan 5 this year, and
I was wondering what was the strangest thing that you brought. I don’t know, what would
be the most unusual thing? Probably my purple unicorn pillow pet. My overbed storage unit,
perhaps. Besides your parents... Well, yeah, my parents. Oh, a plant from 1985. My mom
brought a plant to college with her, and it’s been in our house ever since. She’s put
a clipping of it in a pot and gave it to me to keep throughout. This is a clipping from
my original college plant from when I left for school in 1985, and I’ve just made a
little tiny plant for Michael's dorm room. Oh, that’s a difficult one. I took my shell
collection here. She tried to kill this one but she couldn’t. She fed it with wine coolers
but... shh! A blanket that my friend’s grandma knit me in Rochester colors. I have a box
dedicated solely to tea. Spongebob blanket. I have a Spongebob blanket, that says that
today is the best day ever. It’s pretty cool. I have a teddy bear in the back. His
name is Gizmo. My mom actually made him for me. He’s Rochester colors, yay! Oh, a spatzle
press. It’s like a German cooking noodle dumpling maker. You're going to be the most
popular person in your dorm. I like to cook, so... His name is Gizmo. You made that? That’s
amazing! How cool! You have to introduce him to Rocky. Yeah, they can be friends. I think
I have a pair of lumberjack overalls. Well there's that snake... I didn’t bring a snake.
The blow gun. You’re going to miss your parents, aren’t you? Kind of. My name is
Matthew. I’m a sophomore and a D’Lion at the University of Rochester. I love it
here and so should you. Now what’s your favorite Dr. Seuss book? The orientation theme
this year is Dr. Seuss. Can you tell us your favorite books? I like Cat in a Hat. It’s
classic. Sneetches. Hop on Pop, or the Footbook. Oh, the places you’ll go. It’s either
the ABC book or the one-thumb, two-thumb, thumbing on a drum book. I don't know what
that one is! It’s the Fox in Socks and One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish. The Lorax.
Of course they just made a movie out of it, but that was always my favorite one. Anyman
who comes out of a stump, so he’s alright. You like Hop on Pop, too. Did I? Oh, the Lorax.
Can you recite any lines from it? I am the Lorax and I speak for the trees, it’s been
a while. If you wish to wish a wish, you can make a wish on my Ish wish dish. One Fish,
Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish, or something. Right? Is that it? Yeah, that's a thing. Green
Eggs and Ham! Let's hear it. I do not like them, Sam I am. I do not like Green Eggs and
Ham. I do not like them here or there, I do not like them anywhere. I do not like Green
Eggs and Ham, I do not like them Sam I am. That is the best one so far! I can recite
the whole book!(music) A production of the University of Rochester. Please visit us online,
