>>Hello to everybody who in Houston has supported the space shuttle program
for 30 years.
This has been an incredible accomplishment and there will be more spacecraft to come.
I hope you'll be there to work on them.
>>Hey guys, thanks for doing a great job.
It's been 30 years of shuttle.
Let's keep it up for whatever the future brings for us and do the job
that we all know you're capable of doing.
Good luck and thanks for coming.
>>[background noise] I'd like to offer my personal congratulations and thanks
to the space shuttle team, in particular my friends at United Space Alliance and at NASA
for wonderful things that you have done to make this the most remarkable system
that has ever flown in space and to do it as well as you did.
Thank you.
>>Just want to say hi to everyone.
I hope everyone is having a great time and hope you had a chance to come through building 9
and see our wonderful shuttle mock ups.
I'm so privileged to have been a part of the space shuttle program for 20 years now both
through space station and moments in space shuttle like STS49
and watching the space shuttle launches and now working here
with these fabulous mock ups in building 9.
So have fun and celebrate all of these wonderful successes from the last 30 years.
>>Hello Houston, Dave King here.
I just wanted to tell you guy's congratulations on a number of years of great work.
It was an honor and a pleasure to work with you and I look forward to some great days ahead
and I'm hopeful that we can turn what was a great program, we can stand on the shoulders
of a great program, and do some wonderful things in the future.
Thanks.
>>So I think the country knows and sees what a great program shuttle was but I think all
of us know the work that this workforce has done on a day to day basis to make that happen.
We understand and appreciate more than anyone.
And I want to thank everybody for all the great work that they've done.
>>Let's remember the past and our beautiful vehicle, the space shuttle, but embrace
and run towards the future outside lowers orbit.
>>To my NASA family, I really thank all of you for your time, energy and effort,
the long hours you've put in to help us be a successful program for STS and any mission
that you've worked that has some relation to the goal of furthering our knowledge of space
and science, thank you, thank you, thank you.
>>To all of the NASA folks who have made the shuttle possible and are gonna continue our work
in space and to all of the public who are enthusiasts and have come here
to share this moment, we can look back on the past with pride
but let's look ahead to the future with hope.
Thank you all.
Good luck and God bless.
>>Hi, it's Arie [phonetic] from Johnson Space Center.
Good to see everybody.
I hope you're having a great time and you know don't be too melancholy just cause the shuttle
is going away.
We've got a lot of stuff going on in the future that's gonna really be important work
for everybody so enjoy, glad y'all are here.
>>It's been a privilege to be the neighbor of so many fine people in Houston who sent me
into space and trained me to go there and then sent me back to earth with my family.
I can't say enough about the teamwork, the pride in being Americans, achieving something
that no one has ever done before.
So it's been a great adventure and let's go on together to do even greater things.
>>To all of you, I know you have been very proud of what this country has done in space
and I want to say thank you to each and every one of you for the support
because I know the support is there.
The men and women that I've worked with all these years can feel that support
and we want you to continue to support us as we try to go forward.
Thank you very much.
>>Thank you to all the, from everybody that I worked with from engineering to SMA, to MOD,
to all the contractors, USA Boeing, it was just great working with you.
It was always a pleasure to work with you every day.
>>Well first of all I'd like to say thank you to all the people of the United States
for supporting the space shuttle program.
We couldn't have done it without you but in particular I'd like to extend my thanks for all
of the support for making it absolutely possible for myself and my colleagues
to have the privilege of representing you and flying in space
and doing the work that we've done.
>>I think I've taken several opportunities to say thank you to the NASA workforce.
It's the best team I ever worked with by far and I miss y'all a lot.
Take care.
>>All of you that have supported the space shuttle program and NASA over these decades
of the space shuttles history, I sincerely thank you.
The four opportunities I had to fly the vehicle changed my life so I am forever indebted
for those of you that supported that.
>>Hey to all those people out at JSC.
Big shout out to you guys for being part of the shuttle program.
And now for the new endeavors, God speed.
>>Congratulations to everyone who has worked on the shuttle program.
It's been a great program.
It's had its ups and downs over the years but it's just been tremendous in its achievements.
It's sad to see it end.
It's kind of a bittersweet moment, I know, for all of us but I have high hopes
that we'll be doing even better things in the future.
>>I want to compliment and thank everybody who is part of this shuttle program
and all the successes that we enjoyed.
Those of us that were a participant in it, do and should look back with great pride
as to what was accomplished and that should be the legacy of the program.
The hardware is impressive and all the numbers that go in history books are impressive
but we need to remember that what made all this possible is the work from a dedicated team
of professionals who faced all the challenges, got through them
and made possible what we're all proud of.
>>I am so glad to have worked with you all in the space shuttle program
and I'm looking forward to working with some of you in the future of NASA.
>>I thank every one of you that has made this part of the dream possible
and that is inspiring the people that are just starting into our workforce
to make things coming up in the future possible too so a huge debt of thanks.
