Hey beardlovers. Ready to watch another video? No? You're not? Yes you are. No you're not.
Okay. Yes, you're not ready. Hmm. Why? Too busy? Hmm. Sleepy? You're pregnant! Alright,
that's personal. You hate videos. Hmm. I'm actually just moving the camera with my hand
and you're not actually here? Ahh, good. I was worried you disliked my videos. What?
I miss the others from DPC. Ahh. By DPC, you're referring to my band Driftless
Pony Club. Funny you should mention that, gombost. And might I say that you are the
gombostingest. We're actually going into the studio for the next four days to record a
new album, and I actually have to get going right now. You guys wanna see what happens
in the studio? Yay! Okay, seriously, I'm not touching that.
So here I am in the studio. Yeah, it may be two days later.
Wheezy, you promised 4 videos a week (at least). So far there has only been 3!
Well, it's Saturday. So this is the fourth one. I meant to put it up sooner but we've
been working hard making a new album. It's not like we've been having a Mexican-themed
party the past two days. Matt, you're really hurting my argument.
Lo siento. This is why I made those goals. If I didn't,
I'd likely not have made a video this weekend. And you wouldn't get to see what it's like
to record an album. This is what it's like to record an album.
What we do is we rock out with the camera at this angle. Also over here. Low down in
the evening. When it's pointed at the ALF doll here. And here. Late night here. And
here. Look at the horsey! And then later when sound magician Mike casts
his audio incantations... We read and pick our beards.
Now let's ask some of our favorite musicians what they think. First, I asked Driftless
Pony Club drummer Nate Bartley what it's like to record a rock album.
So, Nate, what's it like to record a rock album?
He made me see it in ways I never thought before.
Then I asked guitarist/keyboardist Matt Weber. You know, whenever I go in to record with
people, they always tell me it's gonna be super hard. And I'm always like, No, it's
super easy! And then when we're done recording, I'm like, See? That's Spanish for yes, because
it is a lot of hard work. So that's what it's like to record a rock
album. Hey Craig. Craig, focus on me. Rack focus.
Come on. Over here. Okay. What are you gonna... ?
Rack focus. Yeah, we're... we're focused.
Recording is awesome! Am I... Was I supposed to freeze frame?
I'm just thinking real hard. Okay. We're done here.
At the time of recording this, I didn't have the internet to download a wink, so...
El sombrero es muy caliente. Qual es? Hahahaha! Rawk sawk!
No bueno. No bueno at all. Hey, Sam, we're leaving.
Just let me think!
