May peace, mercy and blessing of Allah be upon you all
Today's subject is Can Allah's mercy contain my sins?
To answer this question I shall start with a story The story of pharaoh
Who is pharaoh? He killed women, he killed babies and he killed men
Pharaoh fought the prophets Pharaoh said I am the mighty God
When he was chasing Moses and his people Allah drowned him
Gabriel describing the scene saying: Mohammed if you saw me What Gabriel did
He went to the Seabed and took from the mire of the sea and went up again
And he stuffed it in Pharaoh mouth, WHY? He said I did that for fear that Allah's mercy should reach him. This story is a Sahih Hadeeth narrated by AL-Termethi
Gabriel was afraid that Pharaoh in the last minutes of his live While drowning as a punishment from Allah.
Gabriel was afraid that Pharaoh might say a word that Allah will forgive him and have mercy on him because of this word
See how Allah's mercy can be. Allah's mercy can even contain Pharaoh and his sins. So, What about us as Muslims
This is Allah Mercy that contain everything. Always repeat the words of Allah Almighty
From 7. Surah Al-A'raf (The Heights) "and My Mercy embraces all things"156
Listen to this Hadith in Sahih al-Bukhari The prophet may peace be upon him was with his companion (ALSahaba)
And there was a woman in Captivity looking for her Infant The baby was lost she doesn't know either he's alive or dead If the baby was fine or not
Imagine the mother heart how she's worried when she found the baby she hugged him and started to feed her baby
The prophet may peace be upon him turned to his companion and said: “Do you think this woman would ever throw her child into the fire?”
They said: “By Allah, as long as it was in her power, she would never throw her child into the Fire!”
The prophet may peace be upon him said: "Allah is more merciful to His servants than this woman is to her child"
So, Allah is more merciful to you and me than a mother to her child
That means Allah is more merciful to you than the mercy of your mother to you. Your mother the one that doesn't accept that you get one scratch. Your mother Who doesn't accept that you get a thorn in your hand?
This is Allah's mercy Allah's mercy that contains every thing
The prophet may peace be upon him told us in AL-Bukhari "Allah has divided mercy into 100 parts, and He retained with Him 99 parts, and sent down to earth 1 part"
From this ONE PART we get our mercy. We have mercy on whoever is around us like our brothers and our children. So, any mercy you find in your heart it is from this one part of mercy.
The continuation of the previous Hadeeth " Through this one part creatures deal with one another with compassion, so much so that an animal lifts its hoof over its young lest it should hurt it."
AND Allah retained with Him 99 parts so he can have mercy on the believers on The Day of Resurrection
Can you see the mercy? Can you see that you deal with a merciful god?
Can you see when we pray and say in Surah Al-Fatihah "2. All the praises and thanks be to Allah, the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists). 3. The Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful. " Do you know the meaning of the most merciful?
Where are we from this mercy? Listen to this Hadith Qudsi in Saheeh Muslim
Allah says: "O My servants, you sin by night and by day, and I forgive all sins so seek forgiveness of Me and I shall forgive you."
YES you commit sins by day and night, and the sins are many, but Allah shall forgive them all (if we repent to him). You have to convince that Allah he is the one who forgive all the sins.
Once you know and believe that ALLAH is the one who punish us for sins and forgive if we repent, then you are on the right track.
And Allah says in the Hadeeth “I shall forgive you" ,but there is an important part before it, " so seek forgiveness of Me"
Here is the question Do you seek forgiveness of Allah. Do I seek Allah's Forgiveness
here is the point. ALLAH forgiveness contain every one and if we sins day and night Allah can forgive us BUT
DO we seek forgiveness of ALLAH do we go back to ALLAH
Allah says in Surah Ale-Imran: V 135. And those who, when they have committed Fahishah (illegal sexual intercourse etc.) or wronged themselves with evil, remember Allah and ask forgiveness for their sins ; - and none can forgive sins but Allah - And do not persist in what (wrong) they have done, while they know.
Yes they have committed sins and wronged them self's but they remember Allah and then they asked Allah for his forgiveness and "and none can forgive sins but Allah"
THEY KNOW THAT NO ONE WILL FORGIVE THEIR SINS BUT ALLAH
Surah Ale-Imran V 135 "And do not persist in what (wrong) they have done, while they Know.136. For such, the reward is Forgiveness from their Lord and Gardens with rivers flowing underneath(Paradise), wherein they shall abide forever. How excellent is this reward for the doers (who do righteous deeds according to Allah's Orders)."
See the mercy of Allah, let's be in this mercy, and let's be from the people that ALLAH will forgive them when they seek ALLAH's forgiveness and Repent to him
ALLAH SAYS IN ALHADITH ALQUDSI BY AL -Tirmidhi: "'O son of Adam, as long as you call upon Me and ask of Me, I shall forgive you for what you have done, and I shall not mind."
but, did you implement the beginning of the hadith" as long as you call upon Me and ask of Me" WE have to call upon ALLAH, ask ALLAH and turn to ALLAH
Completing the hadith "O son of Adam, were your sins to reach the clouds of the sky and were you then to ask forgiveness of Me, I would forgive you"
Imagine your sins reach the sky and it will be forgiven if you ask ALLAH for forgiveness
ALLAH wants you to seek his forgiveness. ALLAH wants you to repent to Him. ALLAH wants you to return to him, and he will forgive you.
Why don't we return to ALLAH. Why don't we repent to ALLAH ALMIGHTY?
and by Allah's willing we all shall return to ALLAH ALMIGHTY.
Because ALLAH mercy contain every one, It contains all of us and all the sins on earth. ALLAH CAN forgive it all
ALLAH Almighty loves those who repent, loves to forgive sins. We have to return to ALLAH ALMIGHTY
If ALLAH mercy is like this and all the doors are open, the why are we still far away from ALLAH ALMIGHTY.
WHY is it a person still running after his Desires and trying to satisfy himself by disobeying Allah. However, he will not find satisfaction neither Pleasure, and he just increased his sins.
This person should return to ALLAH ALMIGHTY and he must remember WHEN he will be standing in front of ALLAH ALMIGHTY on the day of judgment.
The mercy of ALLAH ALMIGHTY will helps us in this live, the grave, the Hereafter and The Day of Resurrection till we reach the paradise.
This is the great success. Allah says in Ch 3 V 185 “and whoever is removed away from the fire and admitted to paradise, he indeed is successful." and for sure you want to be among those who are successful.
Whatever happens now or in the past ALLAH ALMIGHTY with his great mercy can change all these sins
Change it to be Hasanat (good deeds) not only forgive it, it will be changed into Hasanat
But we should return to ALLAH and be honest with ALLAH ALMIGHTY and ask ALLAH for gaudiness and stability
I ask ALLAH ALMIGHTY to guide us and help us to follow the right path. May peace be upon Prophet Mohammad.
