Benefits Of Coconut Milk, Coconut Oil, and Coconut Flour

Hi I'm Nick and welcome to One Minute Six Pack. Today’s video is about a type of fatty
food that actually burns belly fat when eaten in moderate amounts. The food I’m talking
about is Coconut, and there are 3 ways to benefit from this healthy superfood: you can
consume it as (1) Coconut milk, (2) Coconut oil, or (3) Coconut flour. First, I’d like
to talk about the benefits of coconut milk and coconut oil. Both increase your energy
and help strengthen your immune system. These benefits occur as a result of a very healthy
saturated fat in both called medium chain triglycerides, or MCT’s for short. These
include a special component called lauric acid, which is rarely seen in Western diets.
Lauric acid supports the immune system very well. Also, the reason why coconut milk and
coconut oil both increase your energy is because, unlike most other types of fat that are typically
stored as bodyfat, MCT’s are readily available to be used as energy.
When baking, coconut flour is a very healthy option. Here’s why: Coconut flour is incredibly
high in fiber, high in protein, and is gluten free. Keep in mind though, that you shouldn’t
use coconut flour all by itself. Instead, mix it with other healthy flours such as almond
flour and quinoa flour. The reason for this is simple: coconut flour absorbs entirely
too much moisture. Therefore, when using it, make sure it only makes up about 1/3 of all
