US Jobless Claims Up, Gasoline Lifts Consumer Prices
Initial claims for state unemployment benefits increased by 9,000 to a seasonally adjusted
408,000 Consumer Price Index increased 0.5 percent
in July. Gasoline prices rose 4.7 percent.
Today, the Dow Jones Industrial Average ended down 419 points, or 3.7%.
