On behalf of Expert Village my name is Richard Acuna from Champion Martial Arts in Miami,
Florida, today we are showing you beginners judo. Okay in this first clip we are going
to talk about the ukemi, falls in judo they are very important to learn at the beginning
because usually in judo you are going to be throwing in practice or throw people so you
need to know how to fall. One of the first important falls in judo is the fall to the
back and I'm going to demonstrate it. You go back like that and stand here and we roll
all the way back slowly and we do the ukemi. Now our chin always tucks in to the chest,
we don't let our head wiggle so we don't get a headache, and it is always forward so it
does not hit the mat and the reason is you hit with your hands if to prevent it from
hurting your own body.
