Helllllooooo boys and girls, mothers and fathers!
It is so wonderful to see you here today.
Last week I invited you to send me your letters for Christmas.
You know I love to receive your letters and I respond to every one.
Well, you certainly responded!
In fact, my good friends at Canada Post have been delivering bag after bag after bag of letters!
I'm having such a good time reading them all;
I wanted to share a couple with you.
The first is from Clara in Chelsea, Quebec!
DEAR SANTA:
THANK YOU FOR THE PRESENTS LAST YEAR. THIS YEAR I WOULD LIKE A GREY WOLF STUFFY,
SOME MODEL HORSES AND A STABLE FOR THEM,
AND A POLAR BEAR STUFFY.
HOW IS DASHER DOING? PLEASE SAY HELLO. THANK YOU, CLARA.
Well Clara, let me tell you, Dasher is doing just fine.
He is so excited for our big tripů
he has been outside playing all kinds of games to get in shape.
Why just last night he challenged Blitzen to a road hockey game right in front of the workshop.
By the end of the game all the elves were outside watching and playing.
We had a grand time!
Our next letter is from Quinn in BCů
DEAR SANTA: THIS YEAR I WANT TWO HOCKEY NETS.
ME AND MY DAD ARE BUILDING A RINK IN OUR BACK YARD.
THIS YEAR WE GOT A NEW PUPPY NAMED JAX.
JAX IS A RED AND WHITE BOSTON TERRIER.
JAX IS FUN TO PLAY WITH.
WE ARE GOING TO LEAVE CARROTS OUT FOR THE REINDEER.
MERRY CHRISTMAS, LOVE QUINN.
Goodness Quinn, Jax seems like quite the puppy!
I hope you are looking after him and giving him lots of hugs!
Give him an extra hug from me, please.
HO HO HO!
And here's a letter from Daniel in Nova Scotiaů
DEAR SANTA: I'M EXCITED FOR YOUR VISIT SOON.
LAST YEAR I THINK YOU GOT STUCK IN OUR CHIMNEY A BIT BECAUSE THERE WERE DIRTY FOOT PRINTS ON OUR CARPET!
I THOUGHT MOMMY WOULD BE MAD, BUT SHE SAID IT COULD BE VACUMED UP.
I HAVE TRIED TO BE A GOOD BOY ALL YEAR, BUT IT'S HARD
BECAUSE MY LITTLE BROTHER BUGS ME ALL THE TIME.
SANTA, HE REALLY IS A PEST, BUT NO ONE OTHER THAN ME SEEMS TO KNOW IT.
FOR CHRISTMAS I WOULD LIKE SOME LEGO AND THE HARRY POTTER MOVIE.
PLEASE ONLY BRING MY BROTHER A LUMP OF COAL. I LOVE YOU SANTA.
HO HO HO!!!
Daniel, you have the same problem every older brother
or sister - has.
I'll let you in on a little secret.
Most little brothers and sisters are only pests because they love their big brothers
and sisters and just want to spend more time with them.
I think we have time for one more letterů
this one is from Manitoba!
DEAR SANTA: MY NAME IS SIENNA AND I'M 4 YEARS OLD.
I STARTED SCHOOL THIS YEAR AND I REALLY LIKE IT.
I LIKE THE OUTFIT YOU WEAR EVERY YEAR!
AND I LIKE GIVING SANTA HUGS!!!
FOR CHRISTMAS THIS YEAR I WANT A BARBIE DOLL IN A CAR.
I LOVE YOU EVERY CHRISTMAS!
LOVE SIENNA.
Well, what a completely delightful letter!
And I can't wait to send a letter back!
In fact, I'm going to put Sienna's letter in the mail myself tonight.
Sienna, I'm so glad you like my outfit.
Mrs. Claus and my wardrobe elves work hard to keep it fluffy
and full of just the right amount of magic to allow me to slide down all those chimneys!
Now children, if you haven't already sent me a letter, it's not too late!
There is still time for my special postal elves at Canada Post to deliver your letter to me and for me to write back!
Here's how you can make sure your letter gets to me:
Simply write a letter to: Santa Claus, The North Pole, H0H 0H0.
Make sure you CLEARLY WRITE your return address on the envelope
or your letter so that I can send a letter back to you!
If you would like, you can also email me your letter at
canadapost.ca/santascorner.
Oh, I can't wait to get back to reading my letters.
I'll be back here soon to read a few more lettersů
In fact, I think I hear my letter carrier coming now,
and I'm sure her bag is full.
Goodbye everyone!
