Hey gadget fans! In this video, we go hands-on with the Acer Aspire S7. There were a lot
of Windows 8 ultrabooks at IFA, but this one stood out for me. There's an 11-inch and a
13-inch model. In this video, we're taking a look at the 11-inch model. The one on display
at IFA had a 1366×768 resolution, but the final screen resolution is supposed to be
1920×1080.
This is a thin laptop at about 12mm.
Let's talk about the specs. By default, the Acer Aspire S7 has an Intel Core i5 Ivy Bridge
processor, 4GB of RAM, and 128GB of SSD storage. You are able to upgrade to better specs when
it is released.
Just looking at it reminds me of my 11-inch Macbook Air, but this is running Windows 8
and the display is touchscreen. The Acer Aspire S7 is made of aluminum with glossy Gorilla
Glass display.
On the right side is a USB 3.0 port, a microSD card reader, and audio jack. On the left side,
there's another USB port and power slot and power button. On the back, is a micro HDMI
slot and vents.
The keyboard felt good to type on, but I didn't spend enough time getting familiar with the
layout.
Again, I think this was the prettiest Windows 8 laptop I got to play with at IFA. It will
be available around the end of September.
So that's the Acer Aspire S7. Let us know what you think in the comments below. I have
more videos from IFA so make sure to subscribe to the Youtube channel. This is Mark Guim
for Gadget Shooter, thanks for watching.
