The Affordable Car Act allows us to make sure that patients are treated early by
being able to get preventive services
I’ve seen the availability of some preventive care that patients maybe couldn’t otherwise
afford such as mammograms, flu shots, colonoscopies, all those things play an important role in
keeping people healthy.
Prevention is very very important
As part of our prevention and screening we can get a mammogram
I can get my screenings annually.
I still get checked every 6 months now.
That’s a maintenance check up.
We want to see individuals staying out of the Emergency Rooms and out of the hospitals
and the Affordable Care Act is certainly beginning to show us that that can be done.
