I remember one particular day,
I was having the worst -I thought- day of my life
everything had gone wrong
I was depressed, sad, and I went home
And there waiting up for me was my pet dog.
And he jumped up, licked my face, was happy to see me
and everything was happy again
That’s my favourite story about a dog. It’s boring but it’s true.
When I was growing up, we had pets and I got at an early age
to understand that you have to respect animals
People were saying that animals don’t feel pain, don’t suffer
Trust me, it’s complete and utter rubbish
If you mistreat an animal, it will be distressed and they feel pain like we do.
I think where we are in the world today, I think animals deserve more protection.
I don’t understand how anybody can get pleasure from hunting or killing animals
I totally do not understand it. I think we’ve gone beyond that
and I think there should be more international laws.
The only way you can influence governments is by you showing that you care
And if you care and you tell somebody else, you start to create a movement.
If you keep quiet about it, governments ignore you.
So you just have to raise your voice and it doesn’t take much to do that.

It really will make a difference. And thank you.
