Today we will make Drumstick pickle.
This pickle is very delectable.
This is Drumstick which is very soft and doesn’t have seeds.
We have taken 300 grams falli.
Now cut them for making pickle.
Wash them nicely with water and pat dry completely.
Make bunch in your hand and remove the end parts.
Now place them on chopping board and cut into 0.45 inch pieces.
Like wise cut all falliyan.
Now add 1 tsp salt into them.
Store them in any container for 3 days.
Stir them once in a day.
Drumstick for making pickle is now ready.
Let’s see what ingredients are required for making Drumstick pickle.
Drumstick - salted (stored for 3 days)
Mustard oil - 1/3 cup
Asafoetida - 2 pinch
Salt - 1 tsp
Turmeric powder - 1 tsp
Fennel powder - 1 tsp
Red chilly powder - ¼ tsp
Black pepper powder - ¼ tsp
Yellow mustard powder - 2 tbsp
Vinegar - 1 tbsp
Pour mustard oil in pan, turn on the gas.
By heating oil the spiciness gets reduced and also all impurities will get absorbed.
Let it get hot completely until it reaches smoking point.
Take out Drumstick in a bowl as it would be easy to mix all spices.
Now turn off the gas and make oil cool down little.
Don’t add spices in too much heated oil.
Now add asafoetida, turmeric powder, fennel powder, Drumstick, salt, black pepper powder, red chilly powder and yellow mustard powder.
Mix all ingredients nicely.
Also add vinegar into it.
Drumstick pickle is ready now.
When pickle cools downs completely store it any glass or plastic container.
It comes out very delicious after 3 complete days only.
Take it out in a plate.
Drumstick pickle is ready and taste awesome.
It can be served today but the real taste would come out after 3 days when all spices will get absorbed into it.
Before storing pickle in container wash it with hot water and dry under sunlight.
Store in container and Use a clean and dry spoon for taking out pickle.
It can be stored for up to 1 month.
If you wish to store it for more number of days then add more oil in the container so that it remains dipped completely.
Then it can be stored for up to 6 months.
