Hi, I'm Pamela Gentry at the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services.
If you've got a minute, I'd like to share some reasons why Medicare Open
Enrollment is worth your time.
Even if you're happy with your current Medicare coverage, it's a good
idea to take a look at the new plans available for 2013. You don't have to
change, but you just may find better coverage, some savings, or both.
Have your health care needs changed this past year? That's another good
reason to carefully compare. Use the Plan Finder at medicare.gov, call
1-800-MEDICARE, talk to a local counselor or review the Medicare & You
handbook.
And check out the preventive benefits and savings you get because of the
health care law, including a free yearly wellness visit, some cancer
screenings, and over fifty percent off brand name prescription drugs if
you are in the donut hole.
Medicare Open Enrollment, October 15th through December 7th. Take a
look. It's worth your time.
