we start with side-by-side collage so we have a blank
background that we con clone our
person on to
We choose the Clone Tool and then we start
very roughly
painting in
the bit of the photo that we want to put onto the plain background
you can see I'm not to careful at this stage
with the background
because I can toggle between the clone and the eraser to get rid of the parts I don't
want
So I've chosen the eraser and zoomed in a bit
(I've condensed this a bit in time)
but I've basically been painting out the bits I don't want
I tend to alternate between clone
and erase
so I can put bits in, take bits out as I go along so I don't have to
be exactly right the first time and I zoom in and out so I can get an idea and
I don't miss anything
you can see here
that I was a bit overzealous in erasing bits
so I've put some back in
but just keep doing it until you get it just the way you want it to look
once you've done that
simply
apply the clone
go to the Edit Tab
and crop out
the left hand side
and you're left with only the photo
with the plain background which is what we were trying to get
