make gingerbread. Let's run down our ingredients list for today. We are going to need 6 cups
of plain regular all purpose flour (unbleached), 12 oz of sugar (1.7 cups of granulated white
sugar),
1/2 cup of shorten, this is the kind that is all vegetable oil not the animal fat kind
so just a cup of this nice and greasy. If you get it on your clothes it stains forever,
so watch out. I have 1 tablespoon of ground cinnamon (key ingredient), 1 tablespoon of
ground ginger,
2 teaspoons of baking powder,
1.25 teaspoons of salt here (sea salt or regular table salt), 1 teaspoon of baking soda, teaspoon
of vanilla (use imitation if you like), 8 oz of sour cream and 2 medium eggs. With that
