Hi, I am Eugenie.
Today I am going to make chocolate muffins.
For this recipe you will need:
1 cup of milk (240 ml),
1/3 cup vegetable oil (80 ml),
1 egg,
1 teaspoon of pure vanilla extract,
1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour (220 g),
3/4 cup of white sugar,
1/2 cup of semisweet chocolate chips (85 g),
1 tablespoon of chocolate chips for decoration,
2 teaspoons of baking powder,
1/2 teaspoon of baking soda,
2 tablespoons of cocoa powder, and
1/2 teaspoon of salt.
Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F.
In a large mixing bowl, add the flour,
sugar,
cocoa powder,
baking powder, baking soda,
and chocolate chips.
And mix altogether.
And don't forget the salt.
When I was in cooking school in Paris,
our chef said we have to add salt whatever we bake.
In another bowl, add milk,
an egg, vegetable oil,
and pure vanilla extract.
And whisk all together.
Pour the wet ingredient into the dry.
And mix together with spatula.
Don't overmix if you don't want your muffins to be tough.
Now I will get my icecream scoup to spoon the batter into the muffin cases.
You can use just a regular spoon.
After filling all the muffin papers, sprinkle chocolate chips on top of muffins.
When you finished decorating, put the muffin tin in the oven.
Then bake for about 20 minutes.
Once the muffins are dark and risen enough.
Get your muffins out of oven.
Let the muffins in the tin for 5 minutes.
Now your muffins are ready!
Voila!
A good muffin should be soft and moist inside.
Now I have something to serve with muffins.
Whipped cream.
Here you go.
