Deaf Faker. Episode 1. Sophie Woolley

Hi, I'm Charlotte, and I can hear.
Hurrah!
I love music. But I think if I ever went deaf, I'd definitely kill myself.
If you lose the ability to hear music like this, you're better off dead.
See what I mean?
That said, there's probably loads of stuff that I just don't know about deafness.
But apart from the inability to hear music, it does look like a pretty easy disability.
Compared to the others.
I mean, how hard can it be?
I've decided to try and fake being deaf.
Over the next few weeks I'm going to see if I can try and convince a group of deaf people,
And a panel of hearing experts to believe that I'm the real McCoy.
In the next few days I'm going to be wearing ear plugs.And I'm going to learn 'sign'.
Hopefully I won't be too er. Hopefully I won't be too bullshit!
But seriously I think sign is the most incredibly beautiful language.
And ultimately I'm hoping that some of that beauty will rub off on me,
And make me look even more gorgeous than I already am!
