Hi I'm Nick and welcome to One Minute Six Pack. Today’s video is the first of a 6-video
series on the best diet tips for losing belly fat and getting a sixpack. In this video series,
I’m going to give you a “big picture” view of diet and nutrition that will clear
up much of the confusion that exists on this topic. Today, I’m going to specifically
focus on how the long history of our species provides many answers about what we should
and should not eat.
According to archaeological records, modern humans have been in existence for nearly 200,000
years. Even though evolution is a never-ending process, we are still essentially the exact
same species now as we were all those years ago. What this means is that what was healthy
for us to eat back then is still healthy for us to eat today. Therefore, research about
the types of foods our ancestors ate provides us with valuable information about what the
nature of our diet should be.
In fact, this explains why so many new foods that have been added to the human diet relatively
recently cause various health problems, including weight gain and stomach fat. Humans were never
meant to eat and digest things like high fructose corn syrup, white bread, refined soybean and
canola oil, and thousands of other foods found in the supermarket. That's all for today's
