The organizers of the Cannes Film Festival
have announced that the 65th edition of the festival
will take place later than usual.
More precisely, in 2012 the festival will be held May 16 -27, instead of 9-20,
to avoid excessive proximity to the French presidential elections,
to be held on the 6th of that month.
John Carpenter, one of the greatest horror directors alive, decided to change genre.
He announced it, revealing that he had always dreamed
of directing a western movie and had finally decided to do it.
Carpenter said he had written the script and
had already decided to produce it.
