Good morning!
Welcome to the Target Center 20th Anniversary.
My name is Nancy Froman and I'm the Program
Manager of USDA's Interpreting Services
Office and I'd like to welcome you all to the
Department of Agriculture. She gestures with her hands.
First and foremost in the event of an emergency
evacuation, please utilize both North and South
Exits. She gestures with her hands.
If you are a USDA employee from the Headquarters
complex, report to the assigned assembly area at the
National Mall.
If you are an attending guest, you should also
report to the National Mall. She gestures with her hands.
We ask that guests remain together as a group. She gestures with her hands.
Either a warden in a red vest or a uniformed
security officer will instruct you when it is
safe to return to the Headquarters complex. She gestures with her hands.
This will ensure all of our safety and that is a
priority. She gestures with her hands.
I also kindly request that everyone silence their
phones and other devices. She gestures with her hands.
However, for all of you tweeting about this
wonderful event, please continue to do so and
include our hashtag #target20. She gestures with her hands.
Again, it's #target20. She gestures with her hands.
We are not bothered by that free advertising one
bit! She gestures with her hands.
For your assistance, we also have dedicated
volunteers that can help you locate workshops,
exhibits, the Target Center in the South
Building and even our restrooms. She gestures with her hands.
Please see individuals with a badge labeled Volunteer. She gestures with her hands.
Finally, we'd like to insure full accessibility
to this event
and we have interpreters, cart services, assisted
listening devices and attendant support
available. She gestures with her hands.
These individuals are coordinated via a single
command point next to the volunteers. She gestures with her hands.
Our goal is to increase access through design,
interoperability and employment support.
Thank you and without further ado, I'd like to
introduce you to the Director of the Target
Center, D'Ann Clayton.
