HURRICANE SANDY.
THE GOVERN DECLARING A STATE OF
EMERGENCY FOR RHODE ISLAND ALONG
WITH MASSACHUSETTS AND
CONNECTICUT.
THE STAGE IS SET FOR A
SIGNIFICANT IMPACT FROM THE
STORM SYSTEM.
THE WEATHER GOING DOWNHILL MUCH
LATER TONIGHT AND ESPECIALLY
TOMORROW WILL BE THE WORST OF
THE STORM AS FAR AS WIND AND
COASTAL FLOODING.
IN FACT, SPEAKING OF THE
COASTLINE, WE CAN TAKE A LOOK AT
LIVE PICTURES FROM NARRON BEGAN
SET LOOKING OUT FROM THE COAST
GUARD HOUSE.
NO SURPRISE THE SURF HAS BEEN
BUILDING.
THE WAVES AND THE OCEAN ITSELF
IS BECOMING ROUGH.

OFF THE CAROLINA COASTLINE.
DEFINITELY SEE VERY TIGHT SWIRL
SO CERTAINLY WE DON'T SEE ANY
SIGNIFICANT WEAKENING AS FAR AS
THE ALERT, THE COASTAL FLOOD
WARNING IN EFFECT FOR BOTH
TOMORROW MORNING RIGHT ON
THROUGH TUESDAY WITH A STORM
SURGE.
ABNORMAL RISE IN THE OCEAN LEVEL
OF THREE TO SIX FEET ALONG WITH
A HIGH-WIND WARNING AS WELL.
WINDS SUSTAINED 35 TO 50 WITH
GUSTS TO HURRICANE FORCE
ESPECIALLY ALONG THE SOUTH
SHORE.
THAT WILL CREATE WIDESPREAD
POWER OUTAGES, COMPARABLE TO
IRENE IF NOT WORSE.
THE STORM NOT ESCAPING OUT TO
SEA.
MAJOR IMPACT'S LIKELY WITH THE
DAMAGING WIND GUSTS AND THE
COASTAL FLOODING AS WELL AS
PREPARING FOR POWER OUTAGES.
WHILE THE CENTER OF THE STORM IS
AT THE BOTTOM OF THE TV SET FAR
REMOVED FROM SOUTHERN
NEW ENGLAND, THE WIND FIELD IS
LARGE.
THE STORM DOESN'T HAVE TO MAKE
LANDFALL TO SEE IMPACTS AS FAR
