Hopes renew for Akaka Bill following Obama's second inauguration

The Native Hawaiian people
are celebrating Obama's second inauguration
with the hope that their sovereignty
and the Akaka Bill will finally get traction.
Potaka Maipi spoke to a former campaign manager
for the only native senator in the US senate.
Barrack Obama gives hope to the people of Hawaii.
It had been a long-time dream for the people of the Hawaii
to have Obama as the US President.
Ivan Lui-Kwan was a campaign manager for the only native senator
in the US Parliament, Senator Akaka.
As Barack Obama was born in Hawaii,
they gave the first traditional blessing for Obama
when he decided to run for president,
but supporters say there are four main issues
for the second-term president.
