Bhindi Nariyal Masala Recipe

Today we will prepare Bhindi Nariyal, which is a recipe of South India and is very delicious.
Ingredients required:
Lady Finger - 250 grams
(which have been washed twice and dries in a strainer)
Coconut - 1/4 cup (grated)
Green coriander - 2 to 3 tbsp (finely chopped)
Oil - 3 to 4 tbsp
Channa Dal - 1 tsp
Green chillies - 2 (finely chopped)
Amchur (mango) powder - 1/4 tsp
Red chilly powder - 1/4 tsp
Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp
Jeera (cumin seeds) - 1/4 tsp
Heeng (asafoetida) - 2 pinch
Rie seeds - 1/4 tsp
Salt - 1/4 tsp or add to taste
Coriander powder - 1 tsp
Ginger - 1" long piece (grated) or 1 tsp ginger paste
Urad dal - 1 tsp
Firstly let us cut the lady fingers for Bhindi Nariyal Sabzi.
Cut the stem of the lady finger then cut the lady finger into 1/2" round pieces.
Remove the rear end of the lady finger as well.
Heat a pan. Pour oil in heated pan, add Heeng and Jeera in hot oil followed by Rie.
Once Rie and Jeera are roasted add Channa Dal, Urad Dal and fry till they turn light brown.
Add green chilly, ginger and fry the spices gently.
Now add turmeric powder, coriander powder, fry some more. Add the lady fingers and mix.
Put in Amchur powder, red chilly powder, salt and fry all of the ingredients till the spices form a coating on the lady fingers.
The spices seem to have formed a proper coating on the lady fingers.
Cover the utensil and cook lady fingers for 2 minutes on a medium flame.
We have cooked the lady fingers for 3 minutes and also checked once in between.
Check it again.
Lady fingers have turned tender, they should not be over cooked else they do not taste good.
The lady fingers are prepared. Now add the grated coconut and fry the curry for 2 minutes while stirring.
Lady finger will get cooked in very less time.
Add green coriander and mix. Turn off the gas.
Bhindi Nariyal is prepared. Transfer it into a bowl and garnish with green coriander on top.
Bhindi Nariyal is ready, it has turned out very well and tasty.
It can be served as a side dish along with chapatis, parathas, naan or rice.
