Royal Wedding Song Lesson 12

Welcome. Come in and join us in this series called A Royal Wedding Song, about Psalms
45, going through it verse by verse and phrase by phrase. Today is lesson 12 and were looking
at Psalms 45:13-17 describing her being brought to the king. This is about a wedding and I
dont have time to do the background again for you. Im going to have to move forward.
This is prophetically speaking of the wedding of Jesus Christ, the King of kings and Lord
of lords. He is going to have a royal bride, a royal queen. This is a prophetical setting.
We will consider how shes brought to the king, the bride is in her chamber, in the palace
where the wedding will be. She is getting dressed. Her bridesmaids, the maid of honor,
mother, someone is there helping her get ready to be displayed and how beautifully and graciously
she is brought to the bridegroom by her father. Shes brought down the aisle to the bridegroom
waiting at the altar. Visualize this spiritually. The Holy Spirit is dealing with His Church.
The Bride of Christ is being prepared for her wedding. This world is like our bridal
chamber, our dressing room where we are getting ready for this wedding for the King of kings,
the Lord of lords. We have been invited to be a part of His Bride, His glorious Church.
You say, What about me? Wait a minute, give me a chance to get into this. Ask Jesus into
your life, to be your Savior and Lord and cleanse you with His blood, to make you a
child of God. Get yourself connected to people who know Jesus, a church where they preach
the truth of the Word of God and grow in the Lord that you might be a part –were not
better, were fortunate to have found this wonderful truth. I want to help you gain a
brief look at the conclusion of this chapter. There are many treasures in this text. I dont
have time to cover it in twelve lessons. I will hit the highlights of this beautiful
wedding and the symbolic purpose in it for us, what its going to be like. I hope it will
stimulate you and salt your tongue a bit to grow in the Lord and let your life be better
prepared. The Holy Spirit is getting us ready. He will usher us down the aisle to meet our
heavenly bridegroom. Like the father in the earthly scene takes the bride and walks her
down the aisle in her beautiful gown, the Holy Spirit will be escorting us down the
aisle of life to be wedded to our heavenly bridegroom. Psalms 45: 13-17 describes this
wedding. The Kings daughter in the inner part [of the palace] is all glorious; her clothing
is inwrought with gold. She shall be brought to the King –our title – she shall be
brought to the King –shes being brought down the aisle to her groom – in raiment
of needlework; with the virgins, her companions that follow her, she shall be brought to You.
With gladness and rejoicing will they be brought; they will enter into the Kings palace. Instead
of Your fathers shall be Your sons, whom You will make princes in the land. I will make
Your name to be remembered in all generations; therefore shall the people praise and give
You thanks forever and ever. She is getting ready. Shes in the inner part of the palace
and how glorious she looks. The Life Application Bible says, All glorious is the princess within
her chamber; her gown is interwoven with gold. Its describing her in her chamber getting
ready for the wedding. Most men are cheated, they dont get to see a bride getting ready.
Thats quite a bustling time, the women trying to get her gown straight, her veil on, her
make-up just so, her hair properly placed. What they see in the eyes of the Spirit, this
queen-to-be is getting prepared in the inner chamber. She is full of glory and beauty.
The Lords Church, His godly people are full of the beauty of the Lord and the Spirit of
the Lord. They are letting the Holy Spirit get them ready for that wedding day. Its important.
Revelation 19:7-8 is about the Bride being prepared. Let us rejoice and shout for joy
[exulting and triumphant]! Let us celebrate and ascribe to Him glory and honor, for the
marriage of the Lamb [at last] has come Whos the Lamb? Jesus and His bride has prepared
herself. She doesnt come stumbling out of a bedroom, her hair in curlers, in a robe
like she crawled out of bed. Shes been preparing herself for this wedding. I ask you, are you
allowing the Holy Spirit to prepare your life for that day? Thats going to require changes.
Youre not going to come to the Lord in a sloppy style. You allow the Holy Spirit to do a refinement
and cleanse your life. They said lets rejoice in the Book of Revelation because she has
prepared. She has been permitted to dress in fine (radiant) linen, dazzling and white
– for the fine linen is (signifies, represents) the righteousness (the upright, just and godly
living, deeds and conduct, and right standing with God) of the saints (Gods holy people).
– that represents her white gown, fine linen, righteousness, right acts, right thoughts
of God. She has prepared herself. Some people have an attitude – leave me alone, I like
myself like I am. That doesnt work with the Holy Spirit. Its like the keeper of the women
Esther had to deal with, Hegai. He advised what she should put on before she went to
meet her king. She took his advice and let him decide what she should do to look the
most beautiful when he would look on her for the first time. We need to yield to the Holy
Spirit, the keeper of the women. It speaks about her gown shes going to wear at her wedding
– its inwrought with gold, its interwoven with gold thread. Can you imagine how beautiful
this white gown would be with real gold? not imitation, the real stuff –gold strips of
wire woven into the material of her wedding garment. Wow, that must have been gorgeous
and valuable. Where did the bride get the gold for her dress? Where is it from? The
scripture makes clear – it comes from our trials, from fire, hardships of life – the
Holy Spirit to separate the dross in our life – that which is of no value from that which
is valuable. Revelation 3:18 says, I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire,
that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the
shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou
mayest see. Our gold does not come free. Theres a price. We pay the price of dedication to
God in the midst of our trials. You say, Carol, I dont understand – if God is love, why
does He allow me to go through that? It might be the fiery trial of dealing with dross in
your life. The Lord wants to melt in the fire and the heat of trial, hardship and dross;
if you let go of it the Lord will separate it from the pure gold and it will be like
golden threads woven into your wedding garment. Job 23:10 says, But He knows the way that
I take [He has concern for it, appreciates, and pay attention to it]. When He has tried
me, I shall come forth as refined gold [pure and luminous]. Job knew what it was to have
fiery tests but he came out richer at the end. He was rich to begin with but he was
multiplied in his earthly riches because he was allowed to go through such a trial. Your
trials can be valuable. Dont look at them as negative or always blame them on the devil
and you want the devil to be driven away. But why dont you look in your trial and see
what good thing can be gleaned out of this problem. What can this be turned into that
is working the gold threads that are a part of the wedding garment. Not only will her
gown be adorned with gold thread, but it will have embroidery work, beautiful, artistic
embroidery work will be woven into this wedding gown. In Ezekiel 16:10 the Lord says, I clothed
you also with embroidered cloth and shod you with [fine seal] leather; and I girded you
about with fine linen and covered you with silk. The Lord speaks in a symbolic sense
of how He dresses us. Heres a picture of how He found this one, thrown out into the field
like a babe abandoned with its navel not even taken care of, bloody, filthy. He spreads
His skirt over her as a time of love. He cleans her, nourishes her, to develop. He dresses
her with fine jewelry, beautiful garments of silk and linen and puts on her feet shoes
made of fine seal leather. He says her cloth is fine linen which means linen with thread
thats been embroidered art on it. That speaks of the personal, detailed art work God does
in your life. God doesnt want to make you like me or me like you. He doesnt want His
work in you to be the same as others. We are unique. Were like separate blades of grass
and the Lord does not want us to be carbon copies. That would be boring if we were all
the same- like a stereotype? God works in our lives individually, uniquely and He works
an artistic work within our life like embroidery work into our spiritual gown. First were clothed
with salvation, as fine white linen which is His righteousness, He works the embroidery
into it. As Hes doing this handwork, hand-stitching in our life –We feel like weve gotten pricked
with the needle. It hurts, Hes working out the details. Look for God to do something
unique in your life. Dont be a copy-cat of someone else spirituality. It disturbs me,
especially when I hear young people who want to be in ministry and you listen to them as
little bit and what are they doing? They have practiced and copied some other ministry who
was successful. They think that will make them successful. It wont, were unique and
God will do embroidery work in our life – the details, how beautiful – His own hand-stitching.
Shes going to be brought to the King in embroidered work. Psalms 45: 14A says, She shall be brought
to the King in raiment of needlework. Her gown will have needlework. Life Application
Bible says In embroidered garments she is led to the king. I saw a picture of a wedding
gown recently and it had a lot of embroidery. It was beautiful. It is spiritually when we
let the Lord do that detail work in our life, unique as the personality He formed in our
mothers womb. Often when I was younger I said Lord, how come You dont deal with me like
You deal with them or them with me? How come they can do things I cant do? Hes working
out that which is personal. He has a purpose thats unique for each one of us. It speaks
of the virgins that follow her in reference to the Brides bridesmaids. Psalms 45: 14B,
says with the virgins, her companions that follow her, she shall be brought to You. This
bride will have the bridesmaids be virgins, pure and clean – they will follow her. I
wonder, have you brought anyone to the Lord? I hope if youve served the Lord for a time
theres at least one youve led to the Lord. This bridal queen is going to have those young
undefiled virgins, spiritually we speak, cleansed through the blood of Jesus Christ. They know
His salvation and want to be in the presence of the King. They follow her. They havent
matured and developed, not quite ready for their wedding day. They are beginners, but
they follow her. Its true, we want people to follow Christ but Paul says follow me as
I follow Him. Someones following you. It may be your children. Its important how we walk
so they can step in our steps and not slide or go amiss. God help us that we live not
for our sake but for the sake of others so we will not be a stumbling block. This speaks
of how the bridesmaids will be there and theyre going to be brought into the presence of the
King, the bridesmaids following along. In that text it speaks of this wedding – not
only virgins are going to be brought to Him with Her, but its a joyous occasion. They
will come before Him with rejoicing, they will be brought into His palace. What a wedding
day, a grand party. The uniting of Jesus with His Bride is going to be a joyous occasion.
With gladness and rejoicing were going to be brought into His presence. Every tear will
be wiped. That will be the end of the veil of sorrows. Thank God. Some have known what
it is to walk through valleys with the shadows of death. The precious ones – its a child
or mate youve lost and it has broken your heart. In that hour, every tear will be wiped
away; no more sorrow. See a precious promise Isaiah 35:10 And the ransomed of the Lord
shall return and come to Zion –how will they come? – with singing and everlasting
joy shall be on their heads; they shall obtain joy and gladness, and sorrow and sighing shall
– whats it going to do? – flee away. Aha, the door will be slammed in the face of sorrow.
The doors will be slammed in the face of our sighing. This is a place for gladness and
everlasting joy on their heads. Theyre going to enter the palace. Psalms 45 speaks of them
being brought to the King, but theyre going have palace privileges. Those of us who dont
have the ability to live in palaces – some day were going to have a part in the palaces
of the King. Were going to be privileged to go in and out and participate in the functions
of the palace of the King of kings and Lord of lords. We conclude with what Jesus taught
when He spoke of mansions He would prepare. John 14:2-3 says There are many homes up there
where my father lives, and I am going to prepare them for your coming. When everything is ready,
then I will come and get you. The meaning is there in other versions, it was salve to
my soul. This is beautiful I had to call my daughter and tell her, listen to how beautifully
the Lord has expressed this, to let us know whats ahead. Dont get discouraged, faint or
throw in the towel, dont quit or say its not worth the struggle –keep your focus on the
prize. Jesus promised and there is no stronger promise. He said, There are many homes up
there where my father lives and Im going to prepare them for your coming. When everything
is ready, then I will come and get you. It makes me weep –when its ready, Hes coming
to get us. If I was an escapist, I would be home with my head buried in a book or watching
TV. Im not an escapist. Im diligent, trying to do what the Lord would have me do. I dont
say that to praise myself. My thoughts on the Lords Coming and the wedding day of the
Bride and Groom is not an escape. It is a preparation required of me in the Light of
His Word, I understand I have to walk in the Light as He is in the Light that I might have
fellowship with Him. Understand that which He has given to comfort us. He said Comfort
one another with these words about His return. We invite you to participate in the hope placed
in you. Not only enter the palace, but the offspring, once the wedding day has past,
the offspring will rule and reign. In Psalms 45: 16, Your sons will take the place of your
fathers; you will make them princes throughout the land. Ruling and reigning as kings and
priests with Christ. Those weve brought into the kingdom - they are our sons spiritually
and will find a role reigning with Christ. The last point we want to make about this
wedding, He was given a name above all names whereby men alone can be saved – the only
name that becomes the door, an unforgettable name Psalms 45: 17 says, I will make Your
name to be remembered in all generations; therefore shall the people praise and give
You thanks forever and ever. The kingdom of God will echo with His praises. His name will
be exalted. He has saved us and given us these privileges. The response is I will make Your
name to be remembered in all generations; and because of that the people will give you
praise and theyll give You thanks how long? forever and ever. Forever and ever praises
will roll. This is the conclusion of this series. I trust this has been encouraging.
God bless you is my prayer. Amen.
