Ingredients required:
Brown/white bread slices - 4
Green coriander - 2 to 3 tbsp (finely chopped)
Tomatoes - 2 (cut into small pieces)
Boiled potatoes - 2 (cut into small pieces)
Oil - 2 tbsp
Peanuts - 2 tbsp (peeled and roasted)
Green peas - 2 tbsp
Rie/mustard seeds - 1/4 tsp
Green chilly - 1 (finely chopped)
Ginger - 1/2" long piece (grated)
Salt - 1/2 tsp or add to taste
Firstly let us cut the bread slices into small pieces on a cutting board.
We will now grind the peanuts to make a coarse powder,
don't use the mixer else the powder will be too fine.
All of the items are ready so let us begin making Bread Poha.
Turn on the gas and let the pan heat. Pour oil in hot pan.
Put Rie in hot oil.
After it is roasted add green chilly, ginger and fry the spices a little.
Add peanuts and fry some more.
Fry till peanuts turn light brown, for about 1/2 minute.
Now add green peas, fry these till they turn crunchy (around 1 minute).
If you prefer onions, then after roasting Rie add 1/2
an onion (finely chopped) and fry till it turns pink.
After doing so follow the same steps.
Add tomatoes, let them become a bit soft (fry for around 1-2 minutes).
Put in potatoes and salt, we are using just 1 chilly.
If the kid’s dont prefer chilly then dont add in any.
Fry for 1-2 minutes, the vegetables are cooked.
Now add the bread pieces followed by half of the coriander leaves and mix them.
Fry all these ingredients for 2 minutes.
Bread Poha is prepared so transfer it to a plate.
Garnish with some green coriander on top.
