Blackberry Pie

July and August are blackberry picking time in Missouri.
It can be hot, sticky, miserable work...but there’s a payoff:
treats like this creamy blackberry pie!
Place 3 cups of blackberries in an unbaked 9-inch pastry shell and set aside.
Combine sugar, flour and salt.
Add eggs and sour cream, stir until blended and spoon over the berries.
In a separate bowl, combine a half-cup flour and a half-cup sugar.
Cut in margarine and blend until it resembles coarse meal.
Sprinkle evenly over the top of the pie and bake at 350 degrees for 50 to 55 minutes
until lightly brown and garnish with blackberries.
This rich, creamy dessert is so satisfying...
it makes up for all the hard work, scratches and chigger bites you get while picking the berries!
