What are you making? Menthulu Pulusu
Ingredients required to make Menthulu Pulusu
Menthulu (Fenugreek Seeds), Jaggery, Yellow Lentils, Bengal Gram, Tamarind Juice/Sauce,
Rice Flour, Seasoning Seeds, Curry Leaves, Coriander, Green Chillies, Turmeric, Salt, Red Chilli Powder, Oil
Heat up a pan and roast some fenugreek seeds (2 spoons)
Take the roasted fenugreek seeds into a bowl. Grind the seeds into a powder
Roast some yellow lentils as well
Take the raosted yellow lentils into a bowl
Now, roast some bengal gram
Add the roasted bengal gram to the roasted yellow lentils
Now, half-boil the bengal grams and the yellow lentils
Add some salt, turmeric powder and some tamarind juice to the half-boiled pulses
Add the fenugreek seeds powder
Close the lid and cook for awhile
Add some jaggery to the boiling stew
Add some red chilli powder
Close the lid and let it cook for awhile
Take some rice flour (2 tbsp) and add water to it.
Add this rice flour paste to the stew. This will enable the stew to get a thick consistency.
Close the lid and let it simmer. Meanwhile, take another pan and heat some oil
Add some white lentils and some mustard seeds
Add some dry red chillies, curry leaves and some green chillies
Add the fried seasoning seeds to the stew
Finally, add some coriander
Take it into a serving bowl
